Anyway waga has a sub counter on the top right everyday and I always see it at like 20-40+. He just started today and it's already 1 sub, lol. Not to mention the constant stream of donation messages coming in. He's definitely making more than most pros/casters doing this. idk man you'll see rtz/dendi/sing like close to 30k viewers sometimes and that's with many other streamers streaming sometimes even with waga and adb on the field but idk if any of them outside gets a lot of subs i think it's pretty pointless either way to compare dota 2 twitch culture to the rest of the site it's only been a recent thing where people have started accepting donations and thanking people for subs. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not because there's always been some kind of weird stigma against 'selling out' in dota, but monetizing viewers with donations is kind of a grey area for me
i have no issue with donations tbh, if other ppl want to waste their cash for 10s of fun its fine by me
when that donation then pops up over the screen with a big overlay and sounds play thats a problem for me as a viewer

I love my hyper x cloud. the sound quality from the mic is great and the headset is really comfortable. I played TLIH all day while wearing glasses and was never uncomfortable.

Its like street performers or bands when they accept donations after a live set. Twitch is more like live performance that it is a regular show and people are just learning how cash in on that.

Like he never spent any substantial amount of time on a top team before disbanding again iirc. I'm pretty sure he was quite sucessfull in some teams, a lot more than Waga in Dota 2. Streaming probally made him more money though. Streaming made him decent money but his business made him WAY more than streaming. He streamed his business though so I guess you can connect them.
For people that don't know he was extremely successful in HoN with his business where people paid to play with him. Like they actually pay him like $20 an hour to get carried.

Like waga consistently gets some pretty big donations. If i think about that waga streams more than the 3 it's probably that waga gets more cash than them even though they have a much bigger viewers count most of the time.

If you have nice headphones and a mic its no problem at all, although the gamburger gaming headsets probably get uncomfortable fast.

Yeah, i meant the whole thing with streaming. He started a bit too early to make huge amounts of money with streaming alone I think.
And Daigo is the most renowned Street Fighter player of all time.

He hasn't streamed in forever and he's currently only playing dota 2 afaik. Think he's trying to land himself on a team since he's 6k MMR now and starting to a hang of the game. dang he's already 6k? I wonder how good he is compared to um, I guess moonmeander? Is that comparable? Well Moon has like a year more experience already with just being solely a dota 2 player so he's probably better atm. He also has dota 2 comp experience and NEL experience, etc. Testie's techincally played Dota 2 for a while but just with friends, he's only recently switched and taken ranked seriously. Think he calibrated at like 4.5k, now he's 6k. I didn't play or follow HoN so I'm not sure who was better at that game. Testie is talented though so I'm sure he will do somewhat decently although I have no idea if he will reach the same level he was in HoN.
testie was a really good player, moon was like a SingSing who sometimes found himself on t2-ish teams and one time got 4th on LAN.
what im trying to say is that testie was way better at hon than moon.
everyone flamed testie style for being boring but he was kind of like a less flashy rtz. he farmed out of this world, never missed CS and would even play stuff like carries mid etc. He got a bad reputation for that but in reality, he was super good. while moon was mostly just a character and streamed a lot before twitch etc., and had a big following for his wacky shit.

Testies only claim to fame is dt dropping midas one game in WCG 2008? Really not too interesting.

also testie was good in hon back when it mattered for something while moon wasnt relevant until noone gave a fuck anymore
