Mother in law and sister in law aren't. Sil is irresponsible and fed up to the max with pandemic. Partner of my sister works with youth and they got covid at his work. He's in close contact with em because they otherwise go crazy (all u18 I think with very difficult lives). I got pinged by covid app after going to an outside 2G (vaccinated or recovered only) ice skating ring. Wouldn't be too worried if it was "just" Delta. But i read about Omicron spreading outside too a couple days ago. It feels like that this Christmas we won't be able to avoid it. And I'm a bit scared about the chain smoking uncle (vaccinated, not boosted) and my ageing parents in general as well as the many older people they live with in their intergenerational (mostly older though) community. Thanks Obama, I guess. E: I think these are pretty good odds, all in all, but I'd be up for some boring and relaxed holidays for once. Trying to escape new year's in the city here and I'm not sure whether that'll be possible. Had to cancel Hogmanay in Scotland already. | ||

Two guys with positive contacts not wearing masks. Pretty sure my virus exposition there was higher than when I was ice skating and got pinged as a result of that. I just wanna go on holiday in a 5 star mountain resort and go on sunny, snowy walks for like two weeks and learn snowboarding. I'm rather fed up too. | ||
