It's now apparent that the max peak load is gonna be at least 40k/day... can't just slap another server on and call it a day because despite being called "Enterprise edition", it can only be used on one server at a time due to the DB interaction (when we tried it on two one literally sat around and did nothing, with 0% cpu usage). It's also a 32 bit application with a max of 8 threads... So I have to optimize it more. Currently trying to figure out wtf they did this for : there are three tables : BCHS, RCPS, and BCHS_RCPS . BCHS_RCPS is basically a bridge table, I guess, in functionality, but the way they're doing it seems bizarre. No, the confusing part is keeping it all straight since they all have identical column names and super similar names... which isn't even touching on naming some other tables things like "BCHINGS" and having both TRNS.BCHS, BCHS.TRNS, and BCHINGS.TRNS sub-tables... Anytime I try to explain it to people in the company I have to make an entirely new flowchart explaining the specific part related to them, and that's just for the non-db parts. | ||

I finished the Dota anime and it's passable, but nothing particularly special stood out to me. The most exotic and unique Dota lore elements were underutilized and we got a pared down generic fantasy setting. Way too many f-bombs were dropped, like a teenager got their hands on the script and decided Davion needed to sound edgy. One character from the beginning disappears for most of the story until the very end which was bizarre. I've read they had to cut out five minutes worth of story from each episode, which would total around 40 minutes, or two more episodes, so there was a truncation to it all. Things just escalate and blow up without much build-up on the final episode without a lot of foreshadowing. Not a huge fan of the 3D moments which don't mesh well with the 2D. I'll give the second season a watch, but I'm leaning a 5 or 6 out of 10. | ||

Liquid going home with 0 DPC points and 0 income. At least they can look outside the hotel window and get depressed, becausse they can't leave the hotel. At home they open Liquipedia and see that Nigma, who bombed out in wildcard, have more points than them. Playing 20something official games gets you nothing. I stand by my previous rant. This format is shit. It was clearly shit during it's inception. I have no idea how anyone could design this and think that this is in anyones interest. | ||

Not Amazon level but still not nice. Apart from the engineers and management as well as leading personell in the logistic centres it's really hard work. dota reated: I havent seen Vlad's picked up in a while. Even with high base dmg carries. Any reason? Other items just better? I looked at the playoff and found 3 games where 1 team had a vlad's - Secret, Neon, Ehome | ||

Dota mechanics lmao | ||
