Jungle from level 1; not the best way to play him. Side lane soloing with a support pulling is a better way to do it; get him fast levels and he smashes.
Too much teamfight from Lycan, not enough side lane suicide pushing.
Too much emphasis on carry items on Lycan rather than pushing items like Necrobook 3, which for some odd reason is one of the more underused items on him.
This is exactly why come the International the European/NA teams will likely get utterly smashed with the exception of a very few teams (Na'vi and mTw, although they are still at a disadvantage in some respects). The arrival of newer heroes that have never had a place in the European meta strongly favors the Asian teams; they have a massive metagame knowledge, and know how to play against those heroes if they are picked against them. For example, you see plenty of teams draft Lycan on the Radiant/Sent side, which is a HUGE mistake. Against a good team, you give up so much in terms of picks that it is totally not worth it to pick him on his significantly weaker side.

Or at the very least, I wasn't necessarily using them with Dark Seer. I can't see how it was possible for people to not realize that 8 free wards worth of vision that could also move wherever you wanted them to was mind-bogglingly OP.
Those watchers also had max movespeed. I used to take 1 level early and they wouldn't just sit at the rune spots but they could patrol the entire river, or half river + forest near lane. But then there were also Treant's eyes and Visage's birds that gave insane map control

yeah.... you could set units to patrol in wc3 dota.
Is that possible in DotA2 ?

its not, I don't know if you can macro your way through or if the command isnt implemented

Is Leschrac mid solo uncommon, why isn't it more common?
|
think Leshrac is best with someone to stun for him so he can follow up with his stun, since it ain't the easiest to hit with.
|
See, I always go mid with Leschrac and as stupid as it sounds, I got Lightning + Edict and get my bottle early and hog runes to not only harass my opponent out of lane with lightning while farming fast for my boots, but also to spam edict so I can defeat my opponent fast if we both fight for rune control or he gets too aggressive.
My MMR is low, so this is why I win a lot with him though
|
Lesh mid is like qop mid, but with less mobility, more push power. Rune control is a big deal for him, and he can convert most ganks into kills+tower.
The low mobility makes him an unappealing mid for many team comps, but for the current push-comp, hes pretty legit there.
Also, i remember playing against weavers long ago, and that radiance kill on the watchers was the most satisfying thing in the world. Gold just pops out of the ground whenever you go anywhere.

Leshrac ain't bad mid, if you can get rune control. Just harder to hit with stun without someone to initiate for you.
+ Leshrac is a beast in some duo lanes like Lesh+SD
|
Yeah, I don't get stun at all, I just get lightning and edict. A bit risky, but the extra pushing power and last hitting/farm works pretty damn well.
Also had trouble with Rubick at mid so far, everyone else I do decently.

People really do underestimate the power of that lightning though, it hits a lot of units for what is pretty considerable damage before people start to get buff.

I much prefer the stun edict mid over lightning.
imo: stun edict is for ganking lesh vs lightning edict is ricing lesh. I feel like his ult gives him plenty of wave clearing power and damage, and by lvl 16, id rather have the stats for extra int+hp than the 4 ranks of a mediocre aoe.

I get that stun let's you escape and is generally pretty good, but I've yet to have any problems with my build. Even with aggressive mid solo heros.

It lets you gank much, much better. if you go mid as lesh you should really take at least a point in it for this purpose alone but there are other reasons like being able to not just run away and flip on edict if you get ganked, chasing, etc. It is really worth the point before hitting 6, please try it out for a couple games for me. please?
|
See, I don't gank until I get my own tower. I get my tower at about 6-7 minutes maybe? Then I get the two other towers by the 11 minute mark then I win at 17 to 23 minutes.
At 1:15 I have my bottle Depending if I get first blood, I get mana boots really fast (later made into bloodstone)
I can find some replays if you want.

Lesh, while a pretty decent mid in its own right is exceptionally strong on the sidelanes where he his edict can quickly take down towers, in the mid lane you usually won't gain the oppertunity to do that. He is also a great support (as a 4th, even a 5th if needed) and is as such a waste to go mid, look at Windrunner, Windrunner is an excellent middle lane(one of the best) yet she is often in the sidelanes because she is THAT good.
Stun is great for teamfights and for pushing, aswell, then you can put the points in stats from 10 and on and gain more survivability instead, Lightning doesn't do that, however Leshrac is very flexible and as such can be accomedated on the fly.
You don't pick Leshrac to go solo mid, you typically pick him for the extreme pushing power he brings with even a level 1 edict, making him very strong in the sidelanes.

if you are playing against people who dont defend their towers then I dont think any advice I give will be very helpful at all lol. Ok just do your thing man xD

Teams like to pick him in the first phase because he fits well in the easy lane (pulling), solo-mid and even dual mid. His synergy with Shadow Demon (which also is kinda versatile in terms of lanes and very popular right now) helps him a lot.
So, by getting Leshrac early, you still keep your options open. Currently, teams are choosing to employ other heroes at mid, leaving Leshrac for the 4 role. They're probably thinking that other heroes can make a better use of the experience and the farm, and that Leshrac doesn't need much farm to be effective, so you can profit more by leaving the solo for other hero.

Right, so the concensus is that Lesch is ok mid, but other heros can take advantage of mid solo as well as the fact that he just plays just as well at the side lane
