I disagree, this support/carry stuff doesn't exist in low level games. People will farm for themselves no matter what hero they are and they should learn this way to get their mechanics better. Antimage is a fantastic hero for new players actually. He is hard to kill and at low levels it can be a pain to verse a hero that burns your mana and blinks around everywhere. He doesn't need that much farm in low level games because people don't farm that well in low level games anyway. Give him a Treads & Vanguard and it can be really annoying to fight him. Yes, carries are bad when underfarmed/underleveled, but this is new players vs new players so this shouldn't be the case. New players won't do all aspects of the game that well so though a hero is better early it doesn't mean they will be able to make it's presence felt early. I did make a list of heroes that new players should try somewhere (think it was in the Simple Q&A thread), but it includes carries.

I think i will go back to lich, at least then after i drive the enemy out of my lane, and my carry leaves for no reason, i can still do useful stuff. Or farm that now completely empty lane. I have played about 6 games of dota so far, and i already feel like i am playing with complete retards. That can not be normal. But when i ask before the selection if someone wants to play carry and farm a lane, noone ever answers. Basically, i want a duo lane where both of the people in that lane are me. Also, how does one deal with natures prophet? He can sprout trees around you with no cd at all, and when you ever catch him, he makes trees around himself, is invulnerable, and ports out. Get a friend to play with. If you have none (like me), find people (like me) around your level who want to play properly. Like you, I have 7 games won and I already play WAY better than most of the people I'm matched with, the options as I see them is beg for MM stacks in big chats or play pubstomp heroes who can do OK even if team sucks like Lycan. Or, obviously, just keep playing whatever and hope that you're good enough to swing the winning percentage in your favor, if you are better than your level your team should usually get more than 50% wins since the opponents should suck balls too.

Just mindlessly playing and losing can really mess you up. On another note, since the whole Dota community is up in arms over the term "MOBA", I want to shed light on another term that gets me just as riled up. Its the term "Ward Bitch". Like seriously, calling an integral part of the team such a derogatory term is just downright insulting. It adds to the stupid carry-fest mentality you see these days. I really want this term to die down. The term "Hard support" is already there so use it people. And proper supports do more than just ward anyway so the term is fucking incorrect.

Breaks are included, I mean I do not expect someone to play 10 in a row. What I was referring to is the need to will yourself to click the search even if you are having a poor losing streak. It is what was done during IcCup back in the day, when trying to get to at least rank C. It wasn't based on the amount of games, but rather, the mentality of sucking it up and going again to improve.

I always felt the term 'Ward Bitch' was better applied to a support that plays so bad, all they can do to help the team in any way is to buy wards, rather than support in additional ways.

Is there some sort of starting phase where i only play with stupid people, until i get real people in this game, since it does not seem to have a levelling system like lol does. At the moment i am getting incredibly annoyed at my teammates, not because they feed or play bad, just because they simply don't do what they should do. I can't understand how my lane can be freefarm, literally free of enemies, for 3-5 minutes, and NOONE cares and farms it. Or the guy that when we are 3v5, but for some reason are stronger then them atm, INSIST on keeping on farming for 20 minutes until we have passed that powerpeak. He literally did NEVER come to the team. NEVER. You make the faulty assumption that most players are driven by strategic play. In reality, most players are driven by desire. Most support: I want to kill heroes Most semi-carries: I want to farm my core items, then run around killing heroes. In between kills I farm. Carries: I want to farm enough that I can kill solo kill the other team. If I kill enough, somehow I should end up winning. Else, it's my teammates fault (for dying, or not buying me time to farm enough items to start killing).

Even if you do get out of the suicide lane solo and team up somewhere you aren't going to be using her effectively at all compared to an easier "new" hero like a lich. Dunno, from my experience low level games don't have junglers and trilanes so there is no such thing as "suicide lane solo" Though i agree that WR isn't the best beginner hero

I saw him play solo safe lane Windrunner yesterday and he was up against a Lich and some other hero and he went 3-0 against them in the laning phase. It's LoH WR, one of the most imba things in the universe. Problem, if you want to call it that, is that LoH almost always gets the hard lane solo, or Nature' Profit (or both) which isn't as flashy as a Dendivoker or something like that.

Uh, LoH is good, but what does a pub game mean exactly? I've seen several other pros do the same on stream, including dendi's own windrunner 2v1 in the hard lane he was 7-1 15 minutes in solo matchmaking.
