That might be something more along the line of the QQ thread  Leshrac dying is not such an issue if he had bloodstone. But guessing dying 21 times, probably did not have it for most of those deaths. | ||

Normal -> Low High -> medium VERY HIGH -> high Its most likely they gona fix this confusing text thing in this week patch. Notice that the total number of people in High + Very High is much smaller than the old high itself. That was a mid-level skill game too according to the filter - no point in talking trash here, everyone in the game could improve tons in that bracket. | ||

In terms of real skill levels aka irc skill levels if you don't know what you are and you don't have a team then you are probably low skill at best. | ||

Front page is very good / semi-pro. Also with the way they redesigned the tiers high actually means something besides top 33% - it's like top 5-10% now. (if you go to watch recent games and filter by skill level and enter your dota/steam username it's a way to get a rough feeling for if you're in low/medium/high. Basically there are 4 tiers, low(bottom 33%), mid (34-65), high (66-94), high(90-100). They have yet to implement it being a 4 tier system yet though so mid + normal high are combined currently under medium. | ||

I sort of miss playing on Iccup since it gave a relatively nice indicator of where you are (although I am more accustomed to Bw and not DotA IcCup). Using replays is nice and all but it is still quite difficult to ascertain, especially with regards to it being dependent on your team and how you cannot truly gauge your own skill very well. Who knows, perhaps one day there will be a better system, not sure how. | ||
