What are you, some sort of LiquidDota power ranking decider? nobody on the liquiddota power ranking decider had alliance first we had multiple people with mouz at 5 though Mouz were apparently amazing in scrims. Envy said they "got smashed" by them in scrims and Puppey said they also lost 1-4 to them in scrims on the first day they were playing them. On pure power level, the top6 was quite accurate, imo. I think it was a nerves problem for them.

Puppey also said they then beat them the second day.
Mouz was a problem to be solved, not a great team. Scrims don't mean shit, we've heard so many times how strong a team is in scrims.
Looking at Mouz's actual Pre-TI performance they looked like a mediocre European team with some quirky strats that might catch people off-guard.

They still didn't have such a bad run, tho. They went 5-1 combined on the last two days. If they weren't so goddamn shaky on the first three days, they had an easy top 10.

I enjoyed your tangent on fair weather fans though as irrelevant as it is. Arguments can be made either way, but I would say you're a half assed fan if you don't pick you favorite team to win. Of course, my father is from Boston and taught me the meaning of being a fan of a team that couldn't win it all for nearly 100 years.

TL can do a decent job of gauging interest, but having the compendium do it would have been cool~

I had this:
1. DK 2. iG 3. EG 4. Alliance T5. Newbee T5. Na'Vi
I should have replaced Alliance with C9 but C9 was looking really unpredictable and Alliance was looking pretty good leading into the Qualifiers.
|
I had:
1. DK 2. EG 3. IG 4. Newbee 5/6. Alliance/C9
Is anyone else unable to fill in the main event predictions yet? No teams are available on the drop-down tab which just says available once playoffs are complete.

After this gameseries we'll know who are top 8 and they'll be available as valve fills them in.

TL can do a decent job of gauging interest, but having the compendium do it would have been cool~ well that's the whole point. 'head' predictions are actual predictions and how you should approach 'predicting' something, especially if value is attached to predicting correctly. 'heart' predictions, aren't predictions at all, they're who you WANT to win, it's dumb to call that a prediction.
The most diehard fanboy of all time would be foolish to predict their favorite team to win if they are not really the favorite if anything of value is on the line. I've grown up in Arizona my whole life and the Arizona Cardinals have been historically one of the worst NFL teams. It doesn't mean I don't cheer for them, but if I was forced to predict next years champion and anything important/valuable was on the line, I'd be a goddamn moron to predict them.
