so they finally fixed the game crashing bug today. Well fixed is a strong word, they made a new arbitrary rule about how much items one can share.

As long as it doesn't share the count with wards, I'm fine with that. It's probably an engine limitation they cannot circumvent easily; still, 24 * 10 = 240 which is way less than 407 branches I had to drop in order to crash anything.

Do we really care how many items we can share? I mean, they could hard cap it at 10 and we would all be ok. As long at it only count's "active" items, wards and dust will never factor into that number. Unless someone goes crazy and buys like 10 dusts, but then they are all still in a stack.

Yeah, that will never matter ever and its a good way to keep people from crashing the game. Its not like they can fix the issue by allowing us to make unlimited objects on the ground in the game. I mean, at some point some thing has to give. Valid did not make some super infinity engine here that can contemplate the concept of unlimited GG branched. They make a fucking video game.

Well it depends how it's implemented, I guess. The smoothest thing would be to have the oldest item on the ground disappear when someone placed an item at the cap. That would be perfectly sensible and I really wouldn't consider it an "arbitrary rule".

If they made it so you just can't drop anything when the game is at the cap, that would be an annoying arbitrary rule.
