People vote in workshop for mods that get officially supported in the game with matchmaking, these rotate each 2 weeks, or something. In these mods, you can get special chest drops with exclusive items. You sell keys to the chests, Valve and the mod creators split the profits from these keys. Easy.

Getting viewers isn't all that matters. If it is, well highgroundtv also got viewers. Does that mean their product was good? Well they didn't get a lot of viewers, does the viewer count co-relate to quality? So is the viewer number all that matters? Well BTS had more than GDStudio, so does that mean their product is better? Not really. GDStudio loyalists are real annoying. You can't accept that they can do things better, just because they're different doesn't mean it's perfect.

I think it's a bad sad that they couldn't have coordinated it better with pros because pros were often either busy with scrims or on a different sleep-schedule than the games. Some days felt a bit dull because of no pros and other days felt really fun. It can be better, and hopefully it will be better if they do it again next year. But it was still an enjoyable product to enjoy between games. I enjoyed both BTS and the GD studio during the qualifiers ![]() What they offered were two very different experiences and i don't think people should've expected them to do the same thing. With the GD studio i got to see dota personalities hang out and do fun stuff and i got to know more about them. And the few times pros casted it was really great, KKY, puppey and pajkatt casting was especially good. With BTS i got production value and a lot of consistently good casting combos too(A few casters i dislike but i digress)

But I have the ability to think clearly, and I can see that GD's lounge stream was a total success. They managed to get viewers without any real effort. That's visibility for the studio, for the personalities, for everything regarding the organization. Whether that bothers you, teapoted, is entirely besides the point. Your continuation was even worse. Let's be honest here. The GD lounge gave us things that no other stream did. It gave us kittens, yes. That's been beaten into the ground. But it also gave us Bruno stories, C9 versus Fnatic Mario Party, and an absolutely amazing Q/A session with Kuroky. Is that something you're going to criticize them for? Because listening to KKY was one of the nicest experiences I've had in a while.

1. They constantly pander to their own community (in different ways), this makes you a bit delusional about the quality of what you're putting out. 2. They do things differently than most others in the same space, this isn't necessarily bad. 3. They act like they don't take anything seriously, or that they're always trying something new. This means that they (and their fans) will brush off any criticism because they're not directly competing with anyone else (although they are). But the worst part is that they criticise everyone else while not accepting any criticism themselves due to point 3. On May 30 2014 04:32 Acritter wrote: That's not ad hominem.Ad hominem? Really? Regardless, people can like what they like. However, I find it incredibly immature of James to criticise in the way he does when he doesn't accept it on himself due to the points I already explained. And their fans are annoying because they don't accept criticism for the same reason.

The international wualifiers will attract a ton of eyes towards the product and they were de facto the main (or one of the main) coverage hub for the qualifiers. And they handle it in this fucking lazy way, they don't make any effort at all to give exposure to the teams competing, who should by all accounts be the main focus of the tournament. It was awful on a technical point too, you could barely hear people most of the time. Fucking selfish and lazy is what it was. They didn't give exposure to the teams competing, no. But they gave a hell of a lot of exposure to, for example, Sing, Pieliedie, N0tail, Fly, and Kuroky. Well, unless you count the stream where games were actually being cast.

So it'll more likely be a 700ms DP which is a lot more effective.

And that's fucking awful, because the tournament was supposed to be about the teams.

That's hardly their fault, especially when you have a format where teams are expected to play 200 games, of which maybe 1/4 of them are relevant Simply put: most people found a esports reality show with interesting personalities more engaging than something like top5 vs shadowsofthepast

The qualifiers next year should use some sort of automated tournament system every EVERYONE can sign up for the qualifiers and the automated system takes care of most of it while you still invite some teams to the higher brackets. Seemed like a potentially really cool system that could solve a lot of the hassle and drama regarding invites to the qualifier.

I think BTS did a fine job focusing on the teams. Having the stream with the broadcast be the main focus is a good start, for example. And no, most people didn't prefer the lounge stream over the actual games. After the first couple of days when the novelty faded away, the lounge stream barely broke 10k viewers and the main BTS channel had 20k+ regardless of who was playing there.

Chado can summon a rock on his back. It can be thrown, dropped or be used as a weight. As you progress in the game, Chado will be able to : - summon multiple rocks. - summon different sizes of rocks. Sounds pretty good tbh.
