I only played competitive up until pokebank got released so I have no idea what the meta is like anymore. That said I got pretty high on showdown using a team consisting of: Xerneas, Malamar, M-Kangaskan, Blazekin, Klefki, Talonflame | ||

The only 4v5 I won was where our mid silcncer hit 16 and then dropped. We won every teamfight with global silence from base, and we got extra passive gold. The enemy team must have been so pissed. | ||

It did help that everyone and their mother was obsessed with Aegislash at the time and Malamar counters him (plus Topsy Turvy on a Xerneas / Blazekin etc is hilarious) | ||
