It's all Dota, and bringing a broader understanding to your game is always beneficial. It may take a month or two to adjust but overall it's fine. To use a recent-ish example, Aui is playing better on support than he did on carry.

This thread shows why EG wins games and Liquid doesn't.

Great player but has left a bad impression on me when it comes to maturity. Then again he's only 18 or something. Well people get mad when Qoqjva leaves a game after his team GGs, so I'm usually hesitant to trust DotA fans' judgement of players character. Besides, FATA is incredibly fucking good. Liquid won't ever be elite with a player like way2sexy on the team though IMO.

Aui grinded nothing but support picks for like a month straight before he played his first match for C9, and the fact his Chen/Ench/Visage picks perform so well is testament to all the games he put in. If you have a support player that doesn't actually play the picks often, you're gonna have a bad time, look at wayto.

They alternate server choices. PPD is the biggest whiny bitch in all of esports right now. User was warned for this post

As long as tournament organizers are dumb and allow them to do that, then choosing EU servers against NA and vice versa is exactly what C9 will and should be doing. What tournaments should be doing is hardlocking their tournaments (or divisions) to a single server to avoid garbage like that. Then it's extremely clear what server is going to be played, nobody can whine. It's perfect. StarLadder's been doing for at least a couple of the last seasons and it's worked out more than well for them. Even TI4 qualifiers won't play NA vs EU, I don't get why other big tournaments like Dreamleague still try to make that happen, it's retarded.

I don't know if what PPD said is correct though. Liquid/C9 all 3 games on USE. Fnatic/EG all 2 games on USE. Eg/Liquid (obviously) all 2 games on USE. So I wouldn't be quick to judge until the match actually happens. It wouldn't make sense if C9 gets to play EU when Fnatic didn't.
