This KoroK guy you're talking about was slapping people in Dota for a long time now. He has a ton of practise and played for some pro teams in the past. Its nothing new he is solid. ^^
i thought that he was a hon player?
Look for example at this article. Its the first article with his name I found on google. Its from 2010 and there is a solid team history on his side.
Damn. I have no idea what to do against Phantom Lancers in my games. I generally pick AoE heroes so I can weed through the illusions quickly while finding the real one, but he's so incredibly powerful late-game and has a stealth as well, all the while not seemingly being weakened to an extent like Riki or Gondar.
What are good counters, or good AoE heroes to counter Phantom Lancer? I'm thinking Storm Spirit(which I've used thus far), Tiny, etc.
try earthshaker. if you hit a good ult inbetween all the illus it should be fine. otherwise just dont let him have an easy laning phase. if you can stop him from getting the radiance before 30min half your job is done.

Um if you are a carry... Battle fury or Mjollnir is the best counter to him. If not, well he's a hardcarry so going to be tough lategame
you can basicly use your illusion to farm while jungling while lanes are calling miss. This way a lot of dust on the enemy team will be wasted. Building stat early also give PL a certain level of tank which negate the QoP/ES instant-kill nukes by quite a bit.

I like the tranquil boots/vit booster/PMS combo instead of Vanguard.
I played with a Liquider tonight and didn't even asked his Liquid name >< Whoever you are, it was awesome ! Learned me and helped me to play a carry for the first time, it was fun. I'd already played ursa but it's not the same thing, it was nice to play an AM with near max items and not be on the receiving end for once :D

tranquil boots are the new farmers item. if you arent going for a 1st item that requires an RoH on a hero that needs that item, then tranquil boots is an amazing substitution for RoH. it's very rare anybody should be going vanguard now, the item isnt as good as it used to be and with tranquil boots it's a dead item on a lot of heroes. if you're still getting vanguard on any hero, you should consider trying out new builds
for PL late game if you cannot get good ganks on PL, and you're put into situations where you need to teamfight the other team, you need to setup some way to get rid of illusions quickly with items or zone them out. also your team needs to be very prepared for doppelwalks. the thing about PL is that with dust and wards he's easier to gank and kill than a spectre so in reality people just need to get used to playing against him.
Just played a game vs Phantom Lancer. We had knocked down their rax early on, but then my team of Bloodseeker, Silencer, and Razor just decided to farm after that. They almost came back and won because the PL just free farmed for a while. Thank god he didn't have buyback at the end X_X. Also, I won 4 in a row...I'm scared to continue.

thanks!!!:3 did the exact same build and own quite hard. the pushing ability is just insane and i quite enjoy confusing people lol
Ursa is never picked competitively and I understand all the reasons that've been said - he's melee, easily disabled, somewhat item dependant, countered by ghost scepter etc.
The thing is, if you have a team build around him with disables, he just instantly kills any hero and easily snowballs, especially once he has his bkb (i.e. he can't be slowed anymore)
I don't play at a pro level duh but I fail to see why isn't he picked with a team built around him.
