There's a difference in the discussion between if the game mode should have been released or not and the discussion behind the game mode's design in itself, which is highly flawed. The 'whine' about diretide being released had little to do with the mode itself, and questioning the mechanics of the mode isn't 'whine' about that they shouldn't have released it. That's a separate discussion about caving in to community pressure and releasing something which they quite clearly didn't want to. If you disagree with something I said about the issues in the design of diretide from its inception and that the changes made to it really don't solve the issues people had with it back then and today then go ahead, or just be an obnoxious prick and not actually talk about the subject at hand and just say people are whining and that they are stupid even though you're not actually involved in the discussion at all. Valve have and will release other game modes and the issues with them are highly relevant outside of the Diretide situation, one was an issue of game design, the other is an issue of community management. Separate topics. | ||
