If I recall, I think Abaddon was picked situationally in Wc3 DotA but is seeing a bit more frequently now probably because of his relatively recent buffs.

Abaddon's passive is sick... Slow on enemy AND a bonus movement speed on you and allies. It's nuts.
Effectively, Level 1 slows for 5% and bonus for 15%. Technically a 20% slow?

Nah, his main selling point is still pretty much the stun cleansing shield. Other parts of his kit are nice but seeing the look on a enemy batrider's face when you casually break his lasso would be hilarious.

Let's assume there are 5 heroes against 1. All heroes have 300 movespeed for simplicity.
Abaddon is part of the 5. He hits the lone hero for 1 auto-attack with passive. The other 4 also proceeds to right click the same hero.
The lone enemy hero gets slowed to 285 MS. The 5 heroes attacking are now boosted to 345 MS. A difference of 60 MS, which means that the lone enemy hero is now 20% slower than the other 5 (285 vs. 345). Of course it's not the same as if it was just a regular slow of 20%, where the 5 heroes are still at 300, and the enemy is at 240. But you get what I mean?
Isn't this what happens? Remember that's only level 1 passive.

well, technically it's a 5% slow :p. The reason it isnt as useful in the lane is because a single point doesnt really stop anyone from running away, It lets you and your team stick on them better, but it isnt going to slow down the time it takes them to run to safety significantly. Could always get oov tho.

dusa ulti rapes melee. throw in a tc in there and you can get pretty sick teamfighting that the other team can't runaway from.

Knew it months ago when my late game pl got wrecked by dusa despite being 2 rax up

CD is amazing, I can see myself exclusively queuing for it in the foreseeable future.

I was the victim of a comeback game because of medusa.
That ult made it that we just couldnt break high ground. That ultimate is just insane

I might be wrong but I really don't think Medusa is top tier carry as of right now.

Like teamliquid did with a naga/titan, they could protect her. naga/titan are the king/queen of disengagement/counter-intiation. She's still a perfectly viable carry

It's too bad Faceless Void fell out of favor in current metagame... Was awesome to see godly or fail chronos from time to time lol.

I can attend to this. His shield is a godlike-skill, it's the difference between your carry dying or killing the other carry.

Keeping an open communication with your team and trying to synergize is always good and oh-so-satisfying when it works out, but sometimes it just doesn't.
My soloq viewpoint is this: Try hard, but don't tryhard. (because that shit's boring, yo)

Okay then ESWC is answering the is rs int a teir one team question quite effectively. The question now is if EG is a tier one team or Rs int is really over rated. They just got strait out played.
