Kaipi has always been overrated and EG has always been underrated (namely during the "EG Throw" days).

I think we need to wait a while to see how strong both EG and Liquid are as a team.

EG generally does well at Lan tournaments. On average better than the other American teams. (which I guess isn't saying a whole lot considering Dignitas was always shaky on Lan and Liquid, outside of TI3, generally underperformed on the few Lan's they attended)

Effectively, Level 1 slows for 5% and bonus for 15%. Technically a 20% slow? Technically a 5% slow Let's assume there are 5 heroes against 1. All heroes have 300 movespeed for simplicity. Abaddon is part of the 5. He hits the lone hero for 1 auto-attack with passive. The other 4 also proceeds to right click the same hero. The lone enemy hero gets slowed to 285 MS. The 5 heroes attacking are now boosted to 345 MS. A difference of 60 MS, which means that the lone enemy hero is now 20% slower than the other 5 (285 vs. 345). Of course it's not the same as if it was just a regular slow of 20%, where the 5 heroes are still at 300, and the enemy is at 240. But you get what I mean? Isn't this what happens? Remember that's only level 1 passive.
Technically a 20% difference in speed, not a slow. It doesn't make them any slower to get to their tower at lvl 1 where you can't really dive them since 5% is very little.

not good enough for NEL and got unvouched ... time to grind skill and level up >.>

How do you get vouched in the first place? Not that I'm anywhere near good enough, just curious.

Generally speaking, if multiple heroes are within autoattack range of you, you're probably dead regardless, as most heroes' disables are longer range than that to begin with.

Its pretty simple, you go play ixdl-o and get 60% wr after 40 games. I did post a while back(few day ago) how i did it in this thread so check my post history. They gona give you trial vouch and you just need to play 10 games in NEL within 1 week without pissing anyone off. Best of luck if you get in,

Remember, you're playing a hero that can answer any threat with Rage TP. They will not be able to shut you down for the 20 or so minutes it takes for the Midas to really pay off. If they pressure you, the Midas will just help out MORE. Drums will not allow you to farm in the face of five heroes. Midas will. If it's instead a case of your team losing again and again without you, then again, it probably wouldn't have been solved with Drums.
That said, early fighting builds let you... well, fight early. If you're the latest game your team has, you might want to Midas in case you guys come down with a case of the can't-break-high-ground. If you're on a team with offlane Weaver and mid QoP, consider an early fighting build. There's more to be gained by ensuring the early game than the late game in that situation. In other words, play it by ear.

While it is most certainly a pub build for Abaddon to begin with, I have good experiences with maxing Mistblade second(in 1/4/1/1 at lvl 7 -> 1/4/4/1 at lvl 10) I get to play Abaddon only on offlane, because, well, pubs. Against non tryhard lanes imbadon can play so aggressive other people would say "swag yolo all day".
The biggest reason is that since on offlane you get harassed a lot I need pretty much all my mana for shield, which luckily can harass right back. Death coils during the laning phase are a rare event for me, since solo lane and all. Not like there's many kills to get with a nuke that costs 70% the mana of your only escape mechanism, while also damaging yourself for half of it. I know aphotic shield would absorb the damage, but getting a kill offlane done on a razor's edge. I have a criminally good success rate with the mistblade first build, too, for no apparent reason.
Also I think he is the best hero for the "everything" build. OoV -> Tranq->Phase -> Mekansm -> MoM/Basher It sounds stupid on first sight, but after Mekansm(which I consider core) there is just the distinct lack of getting into autoattack range to apply the 32% slow.
Of course I need to ferry multiple healing salves to my lane to keep up playing aggressive as solo offlane against all but the worst safelanes.

I felt so dumb when I tried to BKB to avoid Rupture damage. Turns out it ignores magic immunity fully. It looked like a spell that would allow to be casted on but do no damage. BAH!
But it gets blocked by Linken's. So weird sometimes how that works out.

You can. Found out the hard way. Full damage from start to finish. Initial and movement damage.

You will most likely be vouched if you have 60% after 40 games in the open league, or have 60% after 250 games in MM. Also if you get supported by 3 players whose opinions matter that works too.
