Hence why I also always just type it. | ||

So my honest question is if I'm looking to take Dota2 serious, but have a lot to learn where do I even start. I've read some of the beginning tutorials and stuff but it is just such a daunting task starting a whole new game and learning a new meta and what not. anyone with any tips or really anything just let me know! thanks! | ||

What some of these streamers are doing is comparable to someone writing a blog and expecting it to give them the sustainability of being a writer for a major news site. The streamers who make it in Dota are the ones who have done a lot of things outside of streaming and that is why they are popular. Either they're pro-players, ex-players, casters, etc... If you want to pursue a hobby then it should be on the side of having a stable occupation and 'if' it gets big enough you change over. And I don't say this out of my ass, I have personally grown a youtube channel to the point of almost being sustainable from it and unrelated to that had a blog which eventually got me offers to write for 'decent' money. But the important part of that was that I always had a good job, and I decided that I liked my real job more than both of those things. (and someone might point to EE as an example of it 'working out', but as far as I'm aware EE lives with his parents, not really playing under the same rules) | ||
