If your MMR is pulled up to "very high" then it means that you were very rapidly separated from ruining games with new players in them despite being vastly better than them. What territory would you classify as "high" then?

And I certainly can't blame it on my team because I can feed with the best of them at times. I just seem to play a lot better in CM.

After I stopped queuing AP entirely I got much more enjoyable games to be completely honest.

For example in starcraft you could say that if after one game a player had >150 apm, mined x ammount of minerals per minute and never built up a bank of 500 for over 30 seconds he is probably at least decent. I am sure you could find similar metrics in dota to get a rough determination of player skill that works even if he trolls and/or his team lose horribly.

Kinda, I think there are giveaways to determine whether a player knows what he's doing but everyone has their good games as well as bad ones. Someone lashed out at Dendi (not under his name) for feeding as a Drow.

Well very high means something. I play in very high bracket (probably the bottom of it, don't really know) but I'm used to play in normal and low high bracket since I stack a lot with my noobish friends. And there is a world of difference, in very high people know what they are doing, have experience with the game and rarely fail hard. They may not pull the greatest play, but still difference is clear. Another thing I've noticed is when I'm mid, this is 2 totally different lane when I play a very high player and a guy in lower bracket. At least this is my impression, but Dota feels more Dota in very high.

Most of the statistics would just be clouded by variables that aren't even under the players control. If a player gets 800 GPM does that make him a good player? What if he was playing anti-mage and his team won the game 4 vs 5 while he just farmed all game? It certainly doesn't make him a bad player, but farming while you're under no pressure isn't impressive. At the same time you could have a player who gets five man gank trained the entire game while his spectre free farms. Does that make the player that got gank trained terrible since he died a lot and his team still wins the game because of spectre? Is the spectre good or bad because the other team ganked the wrong person? Too many variables are out of your control to have any sort of metric if a player is good. Your KDA and GPM don't provide any meaningful data alone.

You can sometimes notice even when a player's game isn't going there way that the person isn't bad and the same goes for someone with a high KDA score not being necessarily good either. There are a few give aways whether a person is really trying or not that gives you an idea of their skill to some degree. I would agree that a high GPM or whatever doesn't translate to "WOW DIS GUY IS GOOD GUYZ".

David GoDz Parker @BTSGoDz 11h matchmaking has hit a new all-time low for me... no items drow with 6 hours of Dota2 gameplay on my team.... fucking stupid as shit. Sing had apparently someone who had played for 5 hours and did nothing really. So new players getting in to a match they don't belong.

Your KDA and GPM don't provide any meaningful data alone. I don't think most of these things would be basic visible statistics. However, there are a lot of things not visible to you in any form that Valve could data mine from replays that in many cases are highly indicative of a good player. The best example that comes to me immediately is how often someone clicks on his opponents to view their items.
