Please, explain if this is not good way to play. Since looking at item tab, i cant find anything at the same cost or cheaper that would be as good or better than crystallys or does not take more than one bag space in order to be as good or better.

Damage costs 50 gold per bonus damage. If you are trying to get 30 damage, and paying 2150. you are overpaying. which is even worse when you are having to buy cheap items becaue you can't afford the big ones.
CRIT isn't a good effect until later on in the game when your DPS is high enough to take advantage of the crits

i have played mostly juggernaut, nature prophet, shadow demon, night stalker
Multiple crystallys gives great amount of dmg, and another reason to get them is that in the game you dont have time to get 5000 gold, you need to spend it faster and make good use of that gold.

I don't know why people need to pull out comparisons to Crystalys or Null Talisman + Oblivion Staff or other convoluted combinations of items that give more damage than Blade Mail when Demon Edge is 46 damage for 2400 gold, lol.

Crit stacks diminishingly, stacking them is bad. Especially early on. Drums is far more cost-effecient early on on a hero like juggernaut for example.

Because we were reading his posts yango. He was talking about crystalys as a cheap damage item he buys a lot of. and he was talking about blade mail as a damage item on int heroes, while null talisman + oblivion staff isn't convoluted for int heroes because you know, almost all int heroes that want to itemize for any damage will get both of them in a lot of games.

Does that mean you haven't bought anything from the secret shop? Because if so, that explains a lot.

You should never buy multiple of the same item to begin with(General rule, there are exceptions) Drums give you movespeed, great to fight with. HP, keeps you alive. Damage, helps you fight back. And mana which juggernauts needs badly due to having some mana-heavy spells.
It's far better early on, on jugg.

Yeah havent looked at it much.
movement speed does not stack from items so if have boots, no bonus from drum

best item for low gold where most of TL would agree should be drums anyway.

Secret shop contains (Generally) more lategame oriented items that can be used in more expensive items such as butterfly, monkey king bay and daedalus(Upgraded crystalis).
But again, you should generally get some mid-game items before getting late-game items.

I have totally no idea what people mean when they talk about "laning" and other terms like that. My favorite heroes currently are juggernaut and natures prophet, there were some others too but cant remember. Last night I tried night stalker because I heard it is good at getting kills, but I dont think quiet so, because its fairly easy to disengage from night stalker if you have any kind of retreating skills despite of night stalkers Void. Juggernaut seems pretty straightforward with his hard hitting abilities, so its easy to play. Nature prophet is nice if you get levels going and those trees just are fun to push with and you can help alot your team with getting opponents in that box. The "ultimate" skill for natures prophet is not that good because of low damage but I guess its not the point of the nature prophet.
The biggest issue right now for me with this game is, that there are like 90 heroes in total and I cannot possibly even remotely memorize all of them let alone their itemizations. For now I have just tried to play with common sense and get their respective stat items and get mana or dmg items depending of my need at the time.
I have noticed that there are also some heroes are not really good or are extremely hard to put in actual use like Zeus, I tried him but this hero just seems to be dead weight. I may not know how to play him, but compared to juggernaut or natures prophet there is world of difference in their impactfullness. Zeus ultimate seems almoust overpowered because it can kill low hp enemies everywhere so i guess this hero must have been balanced around that skill.
Welcome! It all starts somewhere. I started DotA 8 years ago and back then all I knew to use was Sniper rushing 4 energy boosters for Assassinate. Play on and eventually you'll be familiar to every hero.

The thing is, on many heroes HP and mana are far higher priorities early game because until you reach mid-lategame, baseline damage from abilities tends to be higher than autoattack damage.

Because there's Branches and Stick/Wand if you want to go lower.

shadow demon, despite being described as support, is very hard hitting hero.

Wait, what. Please tell me this is wrong or I've been wasting a lot of time buying drums.
