Mekansm seems a bit odd, no? Its a huge investment (almost equal to Armlet)

So mekansm instead of armlet?

When I get back, I'll try Mekansm instead of Armlet.
So the build would be: Bottle -> Boots -> Treads -> Mekansm -> Ghost Scepter -> Aghs
|
I like phase more than treads, just because the extra damage and speed will help him control runes better if you run him mid. but again its possible treads is the best possible boots for him.
also worth considering as an item would be heavens halberd for more of a ganky style huskarr. sange will probably proc pretty quick with the attack speed. sange provides a pretty cost effective amount of hp/damage to husk and then halberd with its evasion helps him survive greatly, and then the disarm would pretty much accomplish something similar to ghost scepter in that it makes him invulnerable, to a single enemy instead of the group, so if you were to jump on a critical hero and just wail on them, they have to either blow big cooldowns to keep you off, or rely on their team since they can't fight back in any other way. this sort of build would scream, FOCUS ME. and give the enemy little recourse to actually do so. Its worth considering as an item as well.

Better to get Drums instead of a Bottle...as was said he has like no mana needs, unless you're laning mid.
|
even if you're laning mid huskar doesn't use any mana also you should probably get aghs before ghost

Ghost is only useful at the point where physical immunity is useful.
It's only potentially useful early against someone with a large physical damage spell that might kill you from low-ish health but is also easily dodge-able (e.g. Jugg ulti).

why would u go for a bottle? u dont use mana we have already gone through this, even if ur mid that doesn't mean u have to get a bottle everytime,
I would try out something like this double gautle -> necessary healing for the lane -> boots -> threads -> mek -> armlet -> ghost -> aghs
Also doesn't burning spear override the sange slow?

Sange isn't an orb and hasn't been one for as long as DotA 2 has been around.

I'd throw out armlet all together it doesn't seem really conducive to the hero as much anymore. and burning spear maybe? overrides sange but you get 2 attacks a second you can not use burning spear except during the duration of sange and still deal massive damage. consider the maim as a mid game use for the item where as the game goes on the other stats and abilities are more important and the maim is more of a when you need it sort of thing.
EDIT: read yango. it USED to be an orb right? i'm not crazy? lol
T_T i get so much confused that has changed since slark patch.

I think mek could be decent but the problem is that a lot of huskar fights are kind of scrappy where maybe you jump/kill someone and then have to run around in teamfights with a somewhat low health pool. Mek would top you off once you pop it but if the fight continues you have no real way to stay in it until its off cd (whereas with armlet you can run away and toggle a bit).

Holy shit I look away for like 1 hour and you nut jobs send Torte on a mission to build mek on husk in MATCHMAKING??? RIP Tortes account.

Hey, he asked for the standard build. What's more standard than Mek + Ghost Scepter on Huskar?!
I can picture a random nub reading his guide, buying Ghost Scepter and having no idea wtf is going on. Plus the flames from his teammates for the random items.

Unless multiple people on the same team build it, then all of a sudden they act as if it takes health from you.

Just saying that if I was writing a guide often aimed at beginners I wouldn't use a gimmicky build like Ghost Scepter Huskar, even if it turns out to be a good build. Even people with a lot of experience on the game wouldn't really know how that works and a steam guide isn't exactly in depth. People from the lower levels of play would probally have far better sucess with something more standard like Armlet -> Aghs/Damage. It's better to keep it simple, more mechanically demanding builds like Blink WR, Blink Meepo, etc. are better left to people that don't really need a guide, even if they are as good or even better. You can just list them as a situational item, if that.
