Sure you have a point, but it was obvious that GD studio is going to handle things and they most likely have their normal line-up. I don't think they area going to invite anyone over. They would've gotten Tobi much cheaper (i think) than Ayesee or BTS guy(s) from US.
I really don't know who else is there to play by play with Draskyl, that is somewhat experienced and known. Other than Tobi and In Europe, that is.

This isn't about my favourite caster, infact I care more about teams/tournaments than the casters, hence why I watch pretty much any and every cast without bias. Every caster has their strengths/weakness. GDStudio's weakness is that they have no proper play by play guy. Which is why i'm hoping they have Ayesee or BTS coming in to fill that role if Tobi isn't there.

On the other hand I disagree with you, some casters are really subpar like sheever or French casters.

They have good play by play, just not the "shout everything is awesome" type. Personal taste ftl, the only way to please everyone is to get every casters on the planet.

What exactly are you disagreeing with? I said all casters have their strengths and weaknesses. Nowhere did I say all casters are amazing. Ofcourse some have way more strengths than weaknesses and vice versa.

Draskyl is probably the best analysis guy there is in Dota 2 at the moment. I feel his talent is wasted if he has to do play by play or solo cast a live event. I can understand him having to do that at the studio because of resources. 2GD is a great host personality and fits well on a panel/couch. Him and Weppas aren't as experienced casting and have a habit of stalling during teamfights, the moment in the game when the live crowd gets hyped the most. A great example of this is LD's commentary during The Play from TI2 or Tobi's "Doom's back, run .." from TI1, these are the moment's that people remember.

Eh, I don't think Draskyl is "wasted" on play-by-play casting. Analyst casting is WAY easier to come by... The analysts don't even have to be right (and aren't often) in what they're saying, most people won't notice or care. Play by play casting is so much harder to do right, imo.

Draskyl's solo cast is fantastic imo, he's probably a better play by play than anyone else at the GD Studio.

I can't find their strength at all, they just describe the game, "oh he picks an invis rune" whereas good casters usually add "it's an opportunity to do this or this", they add some insight. The worst are just describing spells, wtf. "Oh he skilled xxx, it's a stun which lasts 2 sec and does 170 dmg." It's awful.

That's the problem, people think analysts are there just to keep the play by play guy company and can be replaced easily. A good analyst doesn't just provide insight in to the game, he also knows how to interact with the main caster as well as with the audience. He can make jokes and banter when needed to fill dead time. He can talk comfortably and react based off the emotions of the main caster. He knows when he needs to stay quiet and let the caster do his thing, but also when he should interrupt the caster to make an important point or a relevant joke. These are things many (not all) pros struggle with when they fill in as analysts. Sure they provide great game insight, but some don't know how to break it down to the lowest common denominator, others don't mesh well with the caster, some speak poor english or have a strong accent and some have a habit of interrupting the play by play guy for example during teamfights by going "ooohh, aaah, oh my god...". There's a reason why sports have regular commentary pairs rather than constantly switching people in/out.
But anyway back to my original point, I think Ayesee will probably be at DH since 2GD said he wanted to bring him to a DH this year. I can see Tobi being the main guy at MLG when they finally start hosting Dota 2, seeing as Sundance has tweeted about him a few times.

There are way more competent analyst casters than play-by-play casters indeed. While GDstudio have no-one to completely fill this role, BTS kinda only has LD, which makes some casting duos of both GD and BTS boring to watch. jD has quite the opposite problem when Tobi is casting.
That being said, I can't wait to see Ayesee+Draskyl cast together at TI3. And hopefully Tobi gets a decent analyst caster.

Hopefully Julz will be back to mineski. Just like the old roster.

Honestly if the casting for dreamhack is like western qualifiers, I'll be watching the russian stream. It was so incomplete and uninteresting. At least from the Russian stream I'd get excitement.
I'm hoping they get someone else over. Everyone except Draskyl and Bruno from GDStudio are quite frankly not experienced enough or of the quality I'd expect from the biggest LAN in the west. (and I say Bruno not as a caster anyway) So, they have 1 guy.

I like the GD studio because they don't constantly yell at me and don't hype stuff not worth hyping....
Often when listening to Tobi i feel like there is some weird creature near me me that constantly yells: "i'm here, look at me, hey there, look at me!!!" and jumps up and down like a mad man :D. His casting is not bad but when i can chose more laid back caster I do.

Tobi yells considerably less now than he has in the past (I think AC probably yells more). Either way I don't understand how people don't see the effect that play-by-play casters have on how important a match seems, how memorable it is, how big a play is. I don't know how people prefer to sit through obvious analysis about what happened 5 minutes ago. A good cast needs to be balanced, and appropriate to the importance of the match. It can't just be Ayesee or Tobi shouting into a mic, and it can't just be someone talking about item choices.
I don't care if it's Tobi at DH, I just need there to be at least 1 good play-by-play caster there. Could be triumphofman for all I care.

I don't even mind Tobi's casting that much and when he is coupled with Maelk or other proplayers casters its a really good cast. What I dislike about Tobi is more the person and his attitude itself(which I guess leaks into my dislike for his cast a bit).
