It's typically only up for a few seconds but it always strikes me as pretty unprofessional I guess. Professional TV stations have people dedicated to handling the technical side of things. While I don't mean to make excuses for them, you have to understand that these streams are all basically 1 guy handling everything. Except GD studios, of course.

Trance is handling the production side himself when live, isn't he? Obviously casting and observing is done by others.

Oh definitely, and I still watch streams all the time so it's not like it ruins my experience. I guess it surprises me that such a little thing can really bring me out of the moment/remind me that I'm still watching a fairly amateur stream. Production values are getting much nicer but little things like this show that they still have plenty more to improve on.

GD have a guy dedicated to production. Most other streams have one guy handling the production, technical problems, streaming, entertaining, observing, etc etc. It's not easy. Obviously there is always space to improve ^_^

More than one people working behind the production also, but GD Studios are easily the best studio when it comes to this at the moment IMO.

This way when you're in lobby it'll be one thing, and then when you're in game it'll be another. However if this works for drafting --> Game is another matter as I have never used it.

The easiest solution I can see is to have some kind of intro clip you play as soon as the draft is finalized, before players have even selected their heroes. You play the clip, then come back to the stream without displaying the overlay, whether or not we're still on the drafting screen. If we're still on the drafting screen, it's just shown for a few seconds without the overlay. If we aren't, you can fade in the in-game overlay. Having no overlay for a second or too seems a lot better to me than having the drafting overlay hiding most of the actually game. Obviously being able to do it automatically would be wayy better though.

Ignoring the fact that they are most likely fake i really like most of those changes. They are really drastic but in the good way in my opinion.

Afaik internally he is called butcher ![]() Edit: @ the guy claiming those changes dont make sense, tell me which ones and why Edit2: Pudge change for example is to weaken the playstyle of running up to your opponent, dismembering him and meleerange hook him afterwards, hook is intented to be nuke which does not hit every time, which it does in the first situation
