Razor is very good when he can chase down heroes and when he doesnt die.
His nuke is extremely good so max it, Link is decent at 1. Unstable current gives bonus movespeed which is nice, I usually skill it above more Link.
Both phase and threads are good but phase is much better for gank razor.
A casual vit booster is a must. There is boss guide where you go poor mans shield into vanguard that actually works but I wouldent recommend it. However a vanguard is not bad if your getting early kills. The roh will let you stay in the field and 250 gold will make diving towers more pleasent.
You need some kind of mana regen, bottle or basi are good but I prefer basi.
Use your early advantage to get a yasha.
After this drums are a perfect item for razor. Finish up your aquila and then your s&y.
This item progression give you less than ideal lategame items but if you just get a decent start you will ve so far ahead it doesnt matter

The only abuse possible is when you have like 50 mana and buy arcane booster in the side shop to get 75+ and use TP, then sell it back at base

Considering you have to be in the shop for that, i don't think it's worth it. Better bring a salve via courier

Basically if you miss more than 2 creeps waiting for the RoH regen, the Salve would have been better.
One possibility is buying a Cloak or Belt of Giant's Strength to survive a DoT or delayed damage spell, and then selling it after the spell is over.

I had a support doing that contantly in the lane phase once when I was playing carry. Didn't stack, pull, just harassed in lane and then sat by shop with ring of health/ring of regen depending on his money.
was odd game but i'm pretty sure we won so clearly it's valid strategy.

Writing on iPhone, its hard enough fighting the swedish autocorrect to think about structure. Also I think ordering items is a bit lacking.
Say you are in a lane and just got boots. If you have someone with very high base damage denying alot phaseboots might be a good option. If they harass you a lot a quick roh can be the best. Although I feel that if you want vanguard you should get it early but after phase but after that its down to taste. If you can chase down everyone but your almost on the edge of dieing a bracer before your yasha is probably better, or vice versa.

I don't think a finished Vanguard is that effective on Razor unless you absolutely need to finish it at this timing and can't afford to wait. Otherwise Vit+Hood has higher overall effectiveness for using your Vit Booster and Ring of Health, and the Hood can be made into Pipe later.

Yango is actually one of the few defenders of Vanguard - that it has situational uses, and if you have a vit + Stout and you are hitting a key timing of the game and your next item isn't near finishing, its better to have a vanguard and have a closer fight than it is to have empty money and no completed other item.
