^I think that was me, not sure, because i always max deso first. Deso indeed hurt really hard and it helps you slightly to lane and especially great for ulti to finish off the running away hero alone.
It depends on how do you wanna play your spec and do you have some cc support for you. But generally always max dagger+deso because dispe is more useful in mid/late game or until you have ~1.2k+ hp. I miss the pre-nerf dispe that allows you to dive tower in early and kill with dispe :D love to rambo pubbies where they thought the tower is a safe zone, dispe was so damn broken.
my steam guide btw for anyone doesnt like the default items like me: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=129238476

If anything, Dagger helps more to farm (even though it's shitty for that, you can Dagger 2 camps and use the extra damage to clear both).
EDIT: Also Sera, I'm disappointed that you don't have Urn on that guide. Phase+Urn >>> Tranquils after the Tranquil nerf, and while the bug that Illusions get generated with disabled Tranquils is still in the game (Ulti illusions won't catch anyone when they spawn with disabled Tranquils).

I also can't think of many times where Yango hasn't said "phase + urn" or "tranquils + urn" ... into janggo, of course.

yo i mean laning, just go cut the hero if he was alone ie help me 'farming'. And I think spec should still focusing on farming, only ulti/tp to fight so urn is abit overkill on him, just grab a aquila for mana if really needed.
and i dont find any difference of pre/post nerf trans boots -_,- and jesus what kind of bug is that, i recall now my illus standing there not chasing......

The main draw of Urn is that it's the highest-efficiency regen item for combat (as you're paying way less for the healing component than it's actually worth, and getting a nice bunch of Strength out of it too). Much higher overall effectiveness than RoH (unless you get no kills for an extremely long period of time--and Spec should be getting at least 1 kill every time ulti is up), and probably Tranquil now too.
Even if you're only assisting ganks with ulti, you're essentially trading a TP for 2 salves worth of regen.

I thought the bug was that the illusions would have the broken tranquils movespeed, so they wouldn't catch anyone because they are too slow. I never heard about them not moving at all.

Oh i see. Not sure, i did see some illus standing there or they simply just failed to chase up.

urn wins pubs
most pub supports are never going to have a super quick mek and no theoretical 3rd position hero is ever going to buy one. urn gives you the sustain needed to push down multiple towers quickly, invaluable vs multiple carry teams that you so often come across in ap

I unno. Played a game as spec and maxed Desolate, it let me punish overaggression in lane really hard and pick up a kill across the map with ult alone
Then again, i was also playing full carry spec, rad and everything, so /shrug

If you managed to farm radiance (assuming at a decent time) then I assume laning phase went extremely well and it wouldn't have mattered what you maxed regardless.

That's a lot of gold for a carry with low farming ability, and an ult that's not exactly low cooldown.

Does desolate buff the damage done by ult illusions or even manta illusions? I never thought it was, but that would make it better, I always ended up maxing dispersion over desolate to stay in lane better and survive ganks.
