So, does anyone have any opinions on the changed hero performance ratings?
They seem more accurate to me, heroes which I am terrible at no longer appear as my highest rated, and heroes which I feel like I play well have much higher ratings now.
I would think the ability to sort the various heroes by performance, number of win/losses and name would be useful instead of the seemingly random order that they are currently sorted by.

Well, suddenly my best heroes are Spectre, Sniper, Brewmaster, Syllabear and Necrolyte.

It makes more sense now, but still useless to me. I know what heroes i am good or bad with. On top of that this kind of stats requre playing lot of games as each hero to be accurate. I do not know where Valve are going with this.

That doesn't seem right to me.
Well, that's not ideal really. It seems to me at least the heroes I know that I'm terrible at have low ratings now, where as before they were a bit all over the place. It would be really good if they gave us a general idea of how they calculated their numbers....

Perhaps you have good last hitting compared to people on your skill level, and/or spend more time ricing, and as such your carry heroes get better scores than other heroes.
Seems to me that the rating becomes stable once you played enough games with something. My best hero according to dota is riki which I played 5 games with and second best is panda which I played 60 games with lol
it seems to be really accurate for my hero list maybe you are just really good at sniper but not so much others in any case just continue playing sniper
This update has improved how Dota 2 is setup on your machine and will provide a significantly faster load time for most players. As a result of these changes, the update may take a while to download.

Apparently they completely reorganised their files to drastically reduce load times in general and make everything more efficient. Unfortunately you have to download a library for it though.

Yes, we've all read it the other 18 times people have gone out of their way to paste it in this thread.

I was just about to check my hero stats (to see if any changed) and the download started, was so confused. Alas, that explains why it is taking so long.

It says it is based on relative performance. My top heroes are inflated because I am so bad at morphling that it is easy to be good at everyone else.
