Instead their entire team even knows they are charging this specific person with a symbol over their head. I was laning mid as drow against a sniper. When he hit 6 (I was 7, I out laned him), spirit breaker just keep charging me with combination of sniper ulti and I just keep dying. I would assume that this type of strategy would still be rather effective in most game. In general, how do you deal with this or deal with spirit breaker in general without being forced to get completely zone out if possible?
Of course I am talking about pub game. Warding the runes and just falling back when you spot him is best way to deal with that. And make sure to spam whenever he charges someone, communication is key

Of course I am talking about pub game. A: vision / wards / calling miss is pretty important against spirit breaker. B: Drow is actually a pretty bad mid hero because she is so vulnerable to ganks and has no form of rune control (and midlane hightlights this, though sniper has this issue as well). C: Being out of position against an SB usually will cost your life, double this when you have no supports near you. Having supports nearby is great when dealing with SB. D:SB 2 m@nly #yolo

You can read the Defense 3 Playoffs preview, then watch the last vod. Next level stuff right there.
Otherwise, more rumours of sing's new team are basically confirmed (Sing, Wagamamma, EGM, Notahax, ComeWithMe), Fnatic.NA imploded, thats about it.

I think you might have missed that mtw organization (whole thing, not synd's team) is dead.
EDIT: Oh, you missed a whole huge controversy with Dotabuff, publicly released MMR visible to everyone, and valve shutdown (and reopening) of the website. People were mad.

"valve shutdown" should be in quotes since dotabuff were the ones who took their site down themselves after finding out they couldn't use an exploit to gather data and they'd have to do it themselves.

Ya i knew drow was bad mid but it a pub game and no one picked anything better for mid lol. So I ended up going mid. Anyways, I guess that is the best way to deal with it. Thx

EDIT: Oh, you missed a whole huge controversy with Dotabuff, publicly released MMR visible to everyone, and valve shutdown (and reopening) of the website. People were mad. Just to be clear. Valve added a privacy option and changed some other things which affected how Dotabuff got it's data. Dotabuff said valve shut them down like 12 hours after this update and had a message up saying they were essentially dead. Then 1 day later they put the site back up. And Valve has added additional features to how sites can get data through the proper channels (not how Dotabuff was doing it).
Wouldn't have been much of a controversy if Dotabuff didn't start crying after 12 hours.

what did i miss? i know medusa and troll is out, but anything else major happened? any crazy games/vods? :o Biggest thing is ESL hosting a $156,000 1 year league with 4 LAN tournaments.
Other than that, SEA League cast by BTS was announced. MTW went under. own3d went under. Fnatic.na kicked 4 members, that day was the most anyone ever cared about Fnatic.na.

Can i ask, where are the russian servers located. Im not in russia but i get 4-5 ms when i play there. Russians even dont get that....

I still don't understand why russians queue for every server. i've played from US west to SA to AUS to CN all over the place and everywhere you get a large amount of russians, it's just weird because the pings have to be awful.

Why do you queue for every server? o.o

I find sb to be a relatively good counter to drow actually, he can close the gap quickly thanks to his charge, and stun her/kill her before she can even react and deal her absurd damage. It's also quite good against shadowblade users (since the charge gives you the position of the ennemy you're charging even if he goes invi). On another note, sven+troll is absolutely ridiculous. We were doing quite poorly (ennemy team had ES+sandking that kep wrecking us with their ult+ ursa), but this troll ulti+sven ulti combo is just completly ridiculous. Basically all you need to teamwipe is bkb, the amount of damage that you do is just absurd with very little farm.

They've said at the end of the last 3 seasons they'll increase the prize pool. We know they're not paying for flights, and accommodations in Ukraine isn't exactly expensive.
Defense is same shit. They've increased the pool by what? from 10k euro to 20k dollars, An increase of 50%. Even though jD's numbers are enormous now, and the prize pool is most likely supplied by sponsors. And they have absurd amounts of ticket sales.
Dota prize pools are far too low for their viewership, that's just how it is. Hopefully this ESL league will change that through-out. (and as far as I'm aware, ESL pays for flights as well) Or maybe the sc ones are too high for their viewership? Yeah it's relatively widely accepted that the ROI on starcraft has become really bad for the most part. And also, going from 10k to 20k is a 100% increase not 50%. I dont think creating a "bubble" around dota2 is a smart idea, I'd rather see organisation try to be sustainable. There is difference between dollar and euro. Uh that's really deceiving >_<.

I queue on west europe in the morning since the wait time is less than half and the ping is acceptable at 100.
