Also, do pennants alter the frequency of getting drops? You need to be watching live. When a team, for which you own a pennant, does something noteworthy, you have a chance to receive a cosmetic items. Works for all tournaments iirc
You don't need a pendant anymore. You just have to be a live spectator.

He's as powerful as he was in DotA1, not more. Because you know, he's the same hero.
Troll isn't OP at all, he still has massive weaknesses and flaws. He's squishy, lots of heroes are squishy, I guess he only relies on his auto attack (except for his two separate aoe nukes that apply a slow and a blind respectively). What other massive weaknesses or flaws does he have? And he does feel WAY better mechanically in dota 2 than in dota 1, you can really abuse his range much more easily and effectively in dota 2. I mean i could have exaggerated on "omg wtf op nerf" but I really do think he will see more use in the near future, just predicting i guess. Troll in his current form won't be picked in comp game. Ever. Why not? Just curious, everyone says "nope not ever" but no reasons for why. I think it is a combination of the face that he is relatively squishy, has a very long cast duration (like lesh if i remember correctly) and he is fairly easy to kite. I think it is mainly the same reasons that Ursa isn't picked at competitive level.
That's what i'm saying about him in dota 2 being much much better.
His mechanics are so responsive you cannot be kited, you can switch to ranged literally as they exit melee, and back to melee as they enter melee again.
His ultimate got buffed a lot, 10 seconds of +60/120/180% attack speed globally on a 20 second cooldown, imagine your whole team pushing a tower every 20 seconds, or dominating a team fight.
Squishy maybe, kiteable? not anymore, he has a freaking ranged aoe slow and ranged attack, he can kite people if he wants.

Think troll might work in a push lineup for that extra cheese.. But as a true carry.. pales in comparison to many other heores.
As I said, super pub stomper for those noobs who stray away from their team but in a real team fight.. his contribution is not that strong.. the nukes are not going to hit that much cos you are not likely to get into that kind of position. The ult is mainly to benefit himself to get the passive going to proc more bashes...
Well.. guess I ll go try him tonight on the test client just to see how he feels..

I personally didn't have a problem landing my nukes, huge aoe, and when i was even close to melee range my melee axes hit. I even felt like the melee axes were reliable, and the ranged axes I think i might've missed one, but that was more user error and i believe you can be pretty much perfect with them.
The ult is huge on all heroes seriously, if you have any type of carry teammate, or even a few non carry teammates the dps is enormous really. Someone wanna do some math to say how much exactly?

3 hyperstones 2 gloves of haste good cd are nothing to scoff at

A level 1, Crystal Maiden will attack about twice per second (attack speed of ~.54s) with that aura.

I can see him ran as like a 3rd position, build the standard cheap build, phase drums, you'll contribute a fair amount of damage while buffing your carry, his slow/blind is pretty decent to boot.

He can't jungle or offlane and he's a mediocre solo mid if I remember correctly. I'm not sure where you could run him if not the protected farmer on the safe lane.

Can someone tell me how Skywrath mage is played?
From the little I saw of him in dota 1, he seemed like a weaker version of outworld destoryer. Carry int, relying on mana/skills to do stuff. He just seems weaker then OD and countered harder by BKB/magic resist.

It's actually better to compare him to Zeus--except instead of being a mediocre solo laner, he's one of the best laners in the game (often top ban in 1v1 tournaments).
He has the potential to be quite good as a solo mid gank/teamfight hero. OD isn't an appropriate comparison because OD's baseline damage is weaker--OD is far more dependent on levels/items to get his damage to strong levels, whereas Skywrath Mage's baseline damage is high enough to secure his midgame fighting/ganking ability (again, like Zeus).

Can't remember much else

I think the two axes skills combined with all the bonus stats on his Q he gets from just one level of it, he could put up a pretty decent toplane.
His manacosts for both are cheap cheap, and his base MS is like 320 with Q, pretty high.
On the other hand, he does lack a good escape

try safe lane with a support?
or trilane even
You can farm any opposing hero, while giving a free farm lane to troll and push with his ultimate and fervor on towers and his aoe nuke that clears creep waves.

Valve can always change the name down the road--nothing is stopping them from doing so. If it is very hated than they could change it, but I do not see it as such a problem but that is just me.
