I know Heart would be good, but what should be a 6th slot item? Abyssal, Cuirass, MKB? If MKB, does that means his illusions won't miss too? Daedalus isn't wasted.

1. If you suck, it's pointless. You need to work on getting yourself better before being put into an environment like that. (EE's words, not just mine).
2. It promotes playing the same role over and over.
3. Personality clashing over extended periods of time.
4. It's nearly impossible to get 5 people together to play for extended periods of time. Seriously, even pros who do nothing but play dota have standins for tournaments and some rarely scrim. You think your trashcan, ragtag group of 5 with a player who goes to college and works is gonna make it to play several games a day? Hell, even once a day?
and 5. How the hell are you gonna get 5 people your skill level unless you already know them and KNOW they are at your skill level because you've played with them many, many times.
1/2/3 are not exclusive in Team MM and who says you have to play on specific role? 4/5 are more personal related problems.
Dota is a team game. There is no number can indicate someone's skills in a game with 100heroes (i have repeat this about 1000times by now). Yes, a MMR can roughly show that if you are good at this game or not BUT who knows you are not Pirate (that SK guy) or just some tryhard players only play 10 heroes but are completely trashcan on 90 other heroes? Or how is that fair if they showed a MMR of some guy who soloqueue 100games against the mmr of some guy who played 100games in full stack?
If you want to be competitive in a 5v5 game you go make a 5men team and go cw/scrimming etc etc, team mmr can show how good your team is. Not something like you go stacking up with 3-5 people and go play against 5 randoms and you own them and you tell the world you are good.
FYI chinese dota1 ladder has this system of giving rankings to the heroes you use, ie you are good with sniper then you will have a high ranked sniper, so if you lost your game with sniper you lose alot points on the hero and vice versa. And even so those ex-pros said the system is still not fair enough.
I am really tired on this subject and this will be my last post on the matter. I am not against a MMR that can truly show that how skillful people at anything in this world but there is no such thing existed in dota world (yet), at least nothing existed can persuade me on that. I dont even care about my stats (if dotabuff needed more people to set their profile to public to keep the site alive i'd do it) so please dont label me with anything else.

Good fucking question. I wonder too. I doubt it, if there can't be any "panda heroes" either. :o

You do know it's like a SUPER old hero right? Meaning every possible build and skill has most likely been used. He is so squishy and easy to shut down. Definitely not OP.. just a regular pub stomper like a fed sniper/ riki :S
He got reworked many times and has been getting buffed a LOT in quite a few of the last patches.
Also mechanically he is much smoother, and because other heroes are also smoother in their attack animations i think they will benefit more from his global attack aura, which by the way was buffed by a huge amount, 10 seconds of global 5 man max attack speed on a 20 second cooldown.
I could list every one of his skills and they are very very good in dota 2, at least in my opinion
It's really good, go check him out again if you don't think so
Like, really really good.

Is it true that panda cannot be used in any game (or media?) in China?? I have always been wondering :S

But i played him in DotA1 after his rework, and i played him in DotA2 just today. He's as powerful as he was in DotA1, not more. Because you know, he's the same hero.
Troll isn't OP at all, he still has massive weaknesses and flaws.

I just know the Chinese don't like it when they see their national treasure being used in violence. This scene is going to be interesting to follow :3

He's squishy, lots of heroes are squishy, I guess he only relies on his auto attack (except for his two separate aoe nukes that apply a slow and a blind respectively). What other massive weaknesses or flaws does he have?
And he does feel WAY better mechanically in dota 2 than in dota 1, you can really abuse his range much more easily and effectively in dota 2.
I mean i could have exaggerated on "omg wtf op nerf" but I really do think he will see more use in the near future, just predicting i guess.

WoW Mist of Pandaria ended up being sold in China even though it has... Pandas lol. So it is possible that it will be fine but no clue.

Troll in his current form won't be picked in comp game. Ever.

the thing about arguments is you kinda have to back them up with someone or no ones gonna take you seriously

Just wondering...my friend gave me a gift on steam, and it was dota 2. I then checked google/wikipedia and saw that Dota 2 is not officially released yet....??
If so, then when will it be released? I am confused, there is no release date, and somehow I feel like the game HAS been released lol... Just incase its confusing - the game is in beta, but in a highly functional, small amount of bugs beta. Its completely playable if you got a key. Oh wow...all this time and its still in beta = / Well, i got a gift on steam from a friend, without key, not sure if I can play. So approximately when is the release date then?
If someone has given you Dota as a gift, you should be able to download and play. Unless they have given you a dota cosmetic item as a gift, in which case just about anyone on this forum could give you a key. PM me if you need one.

Can someone explain to me how tournament item drops work? Mostly want to know if I buy a ticket for some tournament, am I only eligible to receive drops for spectating matches live? Or can I watch games later and still receive items?
Also, do pennants alter the frequency of getting drops?

Why not? Just curious, everyone says "nope not ever" but no reasons for why.

Also, do pennants alter the frequency of getting drops? You need to be watching live. When a team, for which you own a pennant, does something noteworthy, you have a chance to receive a cosmetic items. Works for all tournaments iirc

Ever. Why not? Just curious, everyone says "nope not ever" but no reasons for why. I think it is a combination of the fact that he is relatively squishy, has a very long cast duration (like lesh if i remember correctly) and he is fairly easy to kite. I think it is also all the same reasons that Ursa isn't picked at competitive level. Ursa needs a lot of items to play a true carry role (vlads, blink, bkb,...) but at the same time will be out carried by other carries that can have more impact early game.
Edit: they buffed his cast animation so nvm.
