Just wondering...my friend gave me a gift on steam, and it was dota 2. I then checked google/wikipedia and saw that Dota 2 is not officially released yet....?? If so, then when will it be released? I am confused, there is no release date, and somehow I feel like the game HAS been released lol... | ||

1. If you suck, it's pointless. You need to work on getting yourself better before being put into an environment like that. (EE's words, not just mine). 2. It promotes playing the same role over and over. 3. Personality clashing over extended periods of time. 4. It's nearly impossible to get 5 people together to play for extended periods of time. Seriously, even pros who do nothing but play dota have standins for tournaments and some rarely scrim. You think your trashcan, ragtag group of 5 with a player who goes to college and works is gonna make it to play several games a day? Hell, even once a day? and 5. How the hell are you gonna get 5 people your skill level unless you already know them and KNOW they are at your skill level because you've played with them many, many times. | ||

Just incase its confusing - the game is in beta, but in a highly functional, small amount of bugs beta. Its completely playable if you got a key. | ||

I remember there is a FAQ from Valve where they even state that they do not even view DotA 2 as being beta per se. But yeah, if you got the gift of dota 2, than you should be fine. There are plenty of people with keys to give away as gift or trade out there. | ||

Vanguard and Daedalus are wasted items I feel. I know Heart would be good, but what should be a 6th slot item? Abyssal, Cuirass, MKB? If MKB, does that means his illusions won't miss too? | ||
