also We'll also be releasing Dotabuff Plus, an optional service for those wishing to support the site. Remember - nothing that is currently available will ever cost money and your personal DBR will always be free! Does this mean that accessing other people DBR will require a 'premium account'? Or am I just over thinking this :p | ||

Well. This'll create an interesting week or two of pubs, to be sure. I do think its interesting that the example DBR given is at a 50% win rate yet in "Diamond tier", so if that's accurate for the majority of users maybe it won't be so bad | ||

But I'm really against it being public in the way that it will ruin things ingame where you will find those idiots we have in the game. The fact that people will have their rank used against them when they want to play a hero/role because this dude with better rank think he deserves to play it cuz he is "better". This will probably also make some people take the games way to seriously by being fixated by having a good rank showing up on their dotabuff profile and shit. I don't want another HoN experience... :p | ||

It isn't like they set out to derive Valve's MMR system. | ||
