I'd go as far as saying going BKB/Manta/etc first is less safe. 10 minutes in would you rather have an Armlet or an Ultimate orb/ogre club + hammer if you have minimal to none ward coverage? | ||

Armlet isn't underrated on agility carries, it's just not really the best option for them. Coordinated teams wont allow you to fight them and repeatedly armlet toggle. And most of the heroes where armlet IS built you either build lifesteal or they have built in lifesteal or a way to regain health already(Exception being CK, due to how the item works with his ulti). A hero like n'aix builds it because he can sustain the constant damage you recieve from having the item activated(Ontop of benefitting greatly from all the stats, like recieving bonus damage from strenght). Outside of maybe juggernaut with a healing ward barely any agility carries have something to compensate for the constant damage armlet deals to you. AM? No real synergy. Void? No real synergy. Naga? I guess her illusions do benefit from the active, but they're super squishy already so that small amount of bonus HP wont really benefit them all that much. TA? No real synergy either. Luna? No real synergy either. And so on. It's not that it's bad, there are just seriously better item choices for an agility carry. | ||
