If it's a bit more farming orientated game and I'm not overly concerned with getting burst down by magic. I like aquila into yasha, hotd manta (particularly vs naix). Usually though you're going to have to do something like aquila into bkb because in a pub game the coordination won't be there to save you if you get initiated on. There's a LOT of ways to build luna. I tend to skip manta a lot too if I go aquila into bkb, usually just hotd into bfly then satanic. I don't think you can pigeon hole her into a specific build, it's too dependent on lineups. However general rule of thumb is probably tranqs -> aquila -> yasha -> bkb -> manta/dom -> bfly -> satanic -> luxury items (I like crit). | ||

The popular build at the moment seems to be Tranqs -> Whatever combination of wans/aquila/drums you think is desirable -> BKB/Manta (BKB being the safer choice in most scenarios) -> Manta/BKB -> Bfly Early HotD for stacking and farming can be great, but you need to consider how much you'll be needed in fights, also consider getting treads if you're rushing HotD. But the tranq build still farms quite well just due to Luna passives, while giving a lot of bang for the buck in terms of fights in addition to having a really comfortable buildup. I'm not a huge fan of aghs due to how strong a carry Luna is with proper items, and since Luna ulti is a very opportunistic ability it's not the most stable build. | ||

The idea of HotD is to get it early for ancient stacking®en, I'd avoid getting it when you open with Tranquils -> Aquila/Drums. Something along the lines of Tranqs -> Aquila and/or Drums -> BKB with a Yasha squeezed in before or after BKB is pretty solid. From then on strong items depending on the game are things like Butterfly, HotD -> Satanic, situational MKB, etc - usual agi stuff. Shadowblade is more of an item to squeeze in before your BKB if the game allows for it, I don't think it's that great of an idea once you have your BKB up since that's around the time where the game should be more about 5n5s than small skirmishes. | ||

It's 4.2k for some decent stats, but those 4.2k could be your satanic if you need survivability or a decent part of your butterfly if you're looking for damage. Shadow Blade I wouldn't get. If you want ias then just get the manta up earlier imo or aim for mkb I'd say. or yea, just get your quarterstaff up for the butterfly early. Also, getting hotd and stacking ancients is actually good even in pubs. You can still participate in the early fights (I assume you get an early hotd and not + 12 min or so), and you only need 1 min to clear the ancients at a later stage, so you're not really wasting any time. I mean, that's the idea behind getting the hotd and doing it, lol, that you're not yourself wasting time. | ||
