Riot is a daughter of Tencent though, and I heard Tencent is pretty well standing company itself. | ||

Indeed tencent is bigger, but the question was Riot vs Valve. And i'd say solely based on steam, Valve would win against riot in terms of income. Steam is huge. I also don't see riot doing too well some years ahead, the way they handle LoL just make it appear like they aren't going long-term with it, but what do i know, we'll see. | ||

Wow. Riot is worth 472 according to the linked article. One has to consider though, that DotA 2 is only one of many games of Valve, while Riot is purely LoL and nothing else. So Dota part of Valve versus Riot? Riot wins hands down. They have the casuals of the west in firm grip and I think 2-3 years headstart comparing LoL beta/release to Dota 2 beta. Supposed to mean the grower is DotA 2, not LoL. | ||
