I'd say juggernaut, sylla can too but he can be dived easily, jugg is harder to dive and he'll get a very fast soul ring for infinite healing. too bad jugg will get denied to death. jugg is not a solo hero and never will be, he is utterly useless solo unless your opponents are completely braindead. and tanking creeps with jugg? really? I have no idea why the hell you use that tone, but anyway I don't see the problem of tanking creeps with jugg. Perhaps I shouldn't ask cause your next post will be in hAxOrZ modE. a low hp hero with low attack damage tanking creeps, that makes alot of sense doesnt it. and im sorry if stating facts hurts your feelings. Jugg is one of the highest hp+armor agi heroes out there. He can tank creep just fine. Stout shield+some ggbranch will make him 600hp 4 armor. Moreover, he only need to tank 1 creepwave every 2 minutes, it's not like it's that hard. Normally if you pull double creepcamp, you 'll deny the whole creepwave same way as this. Unless you take the word "tank" literally and not run around to let the tower hit creep, Jugg can tank it just fine. And what does damage have anything to do with tanking the creepwave? You let the tower hit the creeps, you hit the creep 2 hits and you secure the kill. Why do you need high damage to compete with the tower? because towers have random dmg And so do heroes. Unless you're techies with 25 base damage, you can work around it no problem

Lasthitting under a tower as a Juggernaut against melee creeps is harder then it sounds because of his low damage.
More importantly however, Juggernaut is not really one of those farm creeps under tower afk heroes. You want him to be active on the lane and secure kills.

Im just saying lasthitting under a tower isnt a simple as one might think

You just need enough dmg to kill creeps in hit, instead of two, while they are under tower fire

What kind of level are we talking about here since I think the pulling itself has too many flaws for high level play and that's mostly where you need to find proper heroes. You would most likely need a trilane to begin with since most heroes would just be too weak vs a duo when support is that far away. What kind of flaws are we talking about here? Say Radiant runs a trilane bot, with Rubick pulling every other way in this fashion. To stop it, the enemy would need to: Ward the hard camp <-- Who the fuck does this, and its an easy counterward as you already placed an observer ward ontop of the hill to give aggro vision. Leave their lane, walk across the entire jungle, just to hunt you down <-- Puts a massive risk on them, especially if they are running a standard offlaner, or even the aggressive trilane. Say they send all 3 heroes, thats just asking for bot 2 + mid to come for a pincer. You won't be lacking vision either. Stopping this pull is incredibly difficult and risky, while for the pulling team its relatively safe, easy to do, and will deny the creep wave 100% of the time, while the enemy cannot get into even EXP range like they can when you do the chain pull or stack pull on the standard pull camp in Radiant Safe lane. They just need to run an offensive tri-lane versus yours. You're missing a creep wave every 30 seconds, your tower will die sooner than you think. It's a trade-off at the end. This was brought up. Running an agressive tri vs this would not as easy as it sounds - you're already splitting the exprience 3-way and the fact that they can deny every 2nd (?) will make your leveling incredibly slow. It's not that easy to at lvl 1.
The tower will die very easily. The outcome would be the pulling team ending up with more exp while the opposite team has more gold. Who comes out on top depends entirely on hero compositions. There is no way your tower can make it past the 4 minute mark against a decent tri-lane if you're missing half your creep waves.

(I remember mod or something in WoW similar to this) I usually mute people who hasn't really been that great or has been annoying/rude otherwise, like just to serve as a warning, but sometimes i wonder what one of these muted persons have done to get muted. All I want is a "note" function similar to pokersites. e.g. doubleclick a persons name on the scoreboard, little text box pops out which gets autosaved when you close it. Every person you added a note for gets a small little note icon next to them.
SO MUCH PROFIT. :o

Lasthitting under a tower when there's creep influence is hard, 100% agree. But when there's no creep around, it's absolutely easy to last hit creep, especially with low damage heroes. Even flamewheel had a very nice topic about math of lasthitting on this forum.

Just get a quelling blade if you have problems with last hitting.

dunno, but Teamliquid channel on Dota2 seem to have people asking for inhouse/matchmaking pretty often.

Get Roof into your team if you are afraid of your tower getting pushed or your carry taking too much dmg because he's tanking creeps. The 15 sec CD on his living armor make it possible to cast it once one hero and once on tower per spawned creepwave, which is every 30 seconds. His armor is so ridiculously strong and tbh I feel like a lot of people underrate him.
Oh and while I'm at it: Solo mid roof is "tha shit". Get a QB to make that river flow over by your enemies tears. You don't even need to harrass and you take too much damage you have 2 healing spells and one of them can save your teammates globally. As soon as you hit level 6 and go around to gank [70 sec CD ult wtf] you don't even need to be worried about your tower getting pushed, because you heal it up anyway. Roof is going to be the next big thing people will cry about.

I would love to try solo mid tree but im not sure my account can handle that many reports :/ especially after the HUGE buff to his base damage, what is it at level one now? like 95~?
|
More like 85 but still ridonculous
|
I thought it was 85 prepatch? looking it up.
play dota and dota2 wiki list the same base damage for tree so I assume playdota hasnt been updated. 71-79 so after patch it will be 81-89 so average of.... 85
DAMN YOU QBEK
|
Should be 81~89 post 6.77.
|
I have no idea, it was changed like 5 times
|
Would boots OoV be a doable starter item on a randomed tree with leech? maybe ez fb with almost any other hero?
|
It was 71-79 in 6.76, now it's 81-89 in 6.77. Add a QB to hit above 100 at level ONE. Remember Sylar's solo mid Morphling with his ridiculous starting dmg due to morph and wraith band + pooling regen, crushing everyone in CS? Well this one's even worse. Even TA can't compete with that.
@above: Well it is doable. However I don't think it's much of a use, because Leechseed is only a 3 second 24% slow. Adding OoV into it results in 36% slow, which makes it better, but you have to keep in mind, that your teammate probably won't have the boots, so you might need a 3rd teammate and by that time you'd have the FB anyway. However this is just quick theorycrafting. I'd be glad to be proven wrong on this one.

why would you get a qb if you already have no trouble last hitting though?
