You guys were never really around in the BW days, were you? Players hopped from one team to another quite often, the only reason it's not happening now is due to the lack of name changes.

FXO was able to offer what ROOT was not -- salary, paid events, etc. I love ROOT as a team and they have many gifted players but unless they can start finding sponsors, these gifted players will continue to disperse to other teams.

good luck to the new fxo team.. i don't think it matters much that qxc left root. they recently picked up kitty and they still have drewbie as terrans. qxc went out pretty early at iem (which was the last major tourny) he'll have to place high at mlg to impress imo

seems like FXOpen is trying to become the NYY or Real Madrid of Starcraft2.. Not a horrible idea at this stage of the game when most players aren't getting paid much/at all. Once/if SC2 takes off in the west, things might start getting a little more expensive for sponsors. Hate to see root lose players, considering their trouble finding a deal that they like/that works for them.

It's ridiculous the amount of traitor talk going on here. This is no different then taking a better job(not saying root is bad, we all know root is badass) or what would be considered better for that person. People need to pull their heads out of their ass and realize this is a business with money involved. Can't blame someone or trying to better their situation.

Yeah, same with QXC... People calling him a traitor? Really? He left a team where he wasn't getting paid for a team that will pay him a substantial amount, and in case some of you are forgetting... Sheth did the same thing, to the same team.
