I really liked Qxc at release, but dude hasn't really accomplished much since then. Hope he can prove me wrong in TSL.

As for FXO, I've no opinion. Moonglade is a pretty cool guy though, and easily their best.

logical thing to do for qxc, since root is absolutely going nowhere. wouldn't be surprised if fnatic picks up kiwikaki soon.

rofl...no way Kiwi would leave root for any reason and other players like slush, drewbie, and catz are on the same boat. You have no idea how loyal that team is. o.0

business isn't personal.

Nice soundbite but EVERYTHING in this world is personal. It's just a question of whether both sides know that.

I love FXOmOOnGLaDe. Being from Australia, he is my only option as far as being patriotic goes. FXO also put together amazing tourneys that are always good to watch, however I feel for ROOT.

They have the same ideas as FXO (cultivate good players into GREAT players) but they don't have the same funds.
Its sad that money dictates The State of the Game (of life.)

Heres hoping that FXO offered Kevin a ticket to Korea, should he be accepted into the GomTV house. We've all seen what Korea has done to mOOnGLaDe in terms of helping out his play.

Looking for confirmation - As QXC was accepted into NASL under the tag "ROOT."
With their emphasis on team play (you must be on a team to play in NASL) as well as their "MAX 5 players per team) rule. Did this potentially cost a ROOT player a seat in the NASL?
If so, VERY BM, as I'm sure this would have been in the works before the announcement of NASL lists.

And yet Root offered QXC nothing, not one damn thing. Money aside, QXC could not play with, practice, or hell even talk to anyone in ROOT for almost 2 months. What do you want him to do? stay with a time that CAN NOT in anyway help him nor can he help his teammates?!

Everyone needs to get over themselves, QXC made a team decision that he needed to make for himself.

Woah woah woah! Where did I criticize the decision QXC made?!
I guess you clearly didn't read my "Don't have the same funds' comment either, huh?
Why quote me, expecting other people to re-read my comments, if you can't even read them once?! You've clearly read as far as
"I'm a bit butt-hurt. I'm not going to lie....." and thought
"THIS MOTHERFUCKER NEEDS TO LEARN A LESSON!"

ROOT didn't offer qxc money, because at this stage, they just don't have it. Thats the disadvantage of starting a new team, from fresh, with the ethos that you will build it the way you want it built.
I don't blame Kevin, it just saddens me that the money is dictating the play.
Said it before, I'll say it again...
"Its sad that money dictates The State of the Game (of life.)"

That is all.. Hopefully you read this reply.
Play the games!

People often talk about professionalism in e-sports and this is one of the situations which could have been handled better. I’m a qxc fan and I fully understand the need for financial support and his idea about going to Korea (yes, there is less potential money than in the USA/Europe but first you have to get better and Korean ladder should help him a lot).

He also said there will be some sort of explanation. The problem is that we don’t really know what’s the situation between him and the ROOT. When something like this happens it would be great if there were announcements from both involved parties. Right now people are arguing, trying to figure out the reasons and spinning theories.

I hope ROOT members knew about it but people can get really judgemental about anything happening in the SC2 community. So the moral is, post a short explanation right with the announcement and have an agreement that the other involved parties do the same. Less drama, less gossip.

Anyway, sometimes it's better to split if you don't have the same objectives, so best of luck to qxc, FXO and ROOT.

I suggest you read the whole thread and find Catz post. QXC did handle this professionally and told ROOT a little while ago he would be searching for a new team that could support him financially with wanting to play in Korea. Its part of the reason they signed ROOT Kitty.

good decision on both sides. qxc has the potential to go far and make a real name for himself, FXO has the money to support that.

CatZ and Drewbie are only going to get better before MLG, which you will see, with their new training environment.

I don't view this as a serious hit, as I see more potential in Juan than in Qxc, and anyone who followed SC1 will agree with me. Terran / Princess/ w/e he wants to go by is a very good player who will definitely fill in qxc's non-existent absence ... and I say this not bashing, but if you look at Catz's post on page 10, you will see they purposefully weren't using him a lot because they realized that he wanted to shift more towards South Korea (travelling to Spain, seeking a sponsored team that would support him going to Korea), among other things such as school and lifestyle choices (too much parkour?! lol jk). I actually believe that Root is not damaged a lot by this transition; they will still be a good team.

Root shouldn't be effected much, because they are still a highly capable foreigner team with a lot of pull... definitely top 3 or 4 even on Idra's good days, right up there with Liquid, Dignitas, and EG. Based on results I'd put them in front of EG, what was it, a 6-2 cw record vs. them? I personally feel like Idra is of course going to perform well in the korean winner's league style, but if it is proleague style I feel Root is wayyyy more rounded out whereas Idra is like the "flash" of the NA scene in terms of leaguing.

Qxc seems like a great guy, and I'm very glad for him to get this opportunity. I just hope he won't end up as a code b level player living in obscurity.

See? This is how people communicate here. You have to understand that people react, people quote others, but there is very little official information. I wasn’t accusing anyone, and again, I’m a qxc fan. The problem is when you see one side putting up an official announcement and the other doesn’t. Look at the posts before CatZ post.
You don’t have to attack me for not reading all the pages in this thread, I shoudn’t have to. All this arguing could be avoided in future situations.

Example? inControl and Total Biscuit trashtalk. It’s their business. If you have a problem with someone, you talk to them personally and then issue a statement, not send messages to each other by a word of mouth.

I didn't attack you, I just made a suggestion. It is incredibly frustrating to read posts that shouldn't be made if people would read entire threads.

Actually you accused all parties of being unprofessional when none of them are. FXOpen repeatedly said that he didn't poach QXC and then Catz came in and explained ROOT's side. I fail to see the problem here. Quite frankly, no one outside of ROOT and FXO is owed an explanation. All that is needed to know if that QXC is on a new team, thats what this official announcement has told us. Whether ROOT, FXO, or QXC want to tell us more is entirely up to them.

with root having mr boner ii and britney ppl are surely in for some entertainment. and even if they won't get good that fast, so what. I mean, c'mon - catz, drewbie, kiwibukakki and minigun will wipe the floor with any other team (even if kiwi has to reverse all-kill the opponents ^_^)

sheth is a baller and qxc just wasn't able to practice lately (he'll get better and we will forget the IEM ;D)
