IMNesTea, 'I have to prepare well in the next couple days'

NesTea swept oGsZenio with a set score of 3:0, and he will fight with either Emperor SlayerS_BoxeR or Genius NaDa for the ticket to finals.

Q. How does it feel to advance to the semi finals with a 3:0 sweep?
A. It's overwhelming. I didn't even get to think about it when I first entered, but it's amazing to have this experience in my late 20's. I will prepare hard for the semi finals and win.

Q. Did you not think you could do well when you first entered this season?
A. I thought i improved greatly, so I thought I could get Code S, but didn't expect to be in the semi finals. Out of the 3 matches, the last one was the toughest. I was about to type GG, but I managed to do some damage at the last second.

Q. You've won all your matches so far (never dropped a single set).
A. I haven't been paying attention to it. I heard that I can't thumb down a map in a Bo7, so it'll be hard to keep it up since some maps are unfavored for zerg.

Q. Since BW, you've done well against zerg and protoss.
A. I was definitely more confident in those match-ups. The same confidence transferred over to SC2 even though the metagame is not exactly the same. For today's match, I focused on image training, rather than practicing. I usually don't get headaches, but I've been having severe headaches recently. (note: I think he meant that he practiced playing in his mind, instead of grinding games since he had a headache )

Q.How did you practice?
A. All my practice was with Shin Jung Min (Max). He told me not to think about build orders too much and play instinctively. I think that advice helped me a lot.

Q. Who do you want to face in the semi final, BoxeR or NaDa?
A. I already eliminated 3 oGs members, so it'll be overkill if I defeated NaDa too (laughs). I'd prefer BoxeR, since it's been my childhood dream to play against him.

Q. What do you want to accomplish in SC2?
A. I want people to think 'NesTea' when they think of SC2. People are more reminded of FruitDealer, but I want to work hard to overcome that.

Q. You are the last zerg remaining, what do you think of your chance of winning?
A. If there was a protoss on the other side of the bracket, it would have been very possible for me to win. I'm a little worried that there are 3 terrans, but I think it's do-able if I practiced hard enough.

Q. There are lots of fans here tonight to watch the match after you, did this put on more pressure?
A. Not really. I've experienced huge crowds in BW, and it gets me pumped up for games. I hope to see more people for my match in the semi final.

Q. The next match is a Bo7.
A. There are many things to worry about, I have to prepare well in the next couple days.

Q. Any comments?
A. I left my keyboard on the taxi, and Kim Min Suk (seems to be a terran player named Orion) ran after the taxi to grab my keyboard as if this was his match. I feel like I won because of him, so big thanks to him. I also thank my coach for always being a huge help. IM hwaiting!.

Original interview in Korean (www.fomos.kr):
+ Show Spoiler +

That might mean mirror matchup, like playing ZvZ all of the time, doing the same thing all over again.

image training is playing the game out in your head, like theorycrafting but trying to get practice without a computer (like in a taxi lol)

He says he has been having headaches so he cut down on actually playing zvz over and over.
Instead he has been image training, meaning he played zvz in his mind.

Athletes do it alot, it helps.

I doubt Boxer is hurting for practice partners either. Shit, with the clout he has he's probably had Jaedong playing 12 hours of SC2 a day for the last week in order to help him practice for NesTea.

That was a really really quick translation 0-0

Good job.

Nestea was really dominating in those games, zenio just made too many mistakes that nestea capitalized on.

Wow, he really hasn't dropped a set? That's pretty sick, especially with back to back ZvZs, that matchup can be unstable.

You know, this interview really made me respect him more (mind you, I didn't really know anything about him prior to these last few days other than seeing a few replays). Between talking about trying to overcome FruitDealer's initial impression along with mentioning his childhood dream and that other guy getting his keyboard for him, he comes across as really candid. I really like it when players act genuinely in their interviews. That said, I still want BoxeR to win -- I just won't be rooting as hard against NesTea.

if Nestea wins his next match I will become an eternal nestea-hater

there's no valid/logical reason for this, but it must be done.

lol but this guy is on fire, i hope he brings awesome games next round (but still loses =D)
The probability of Kim Carrier getting all those predictions wrong is similar to the probability Flash loses a TvT. Kim Carrier MUST BE a genius. His only big mistake... STORK.

I think it should be pretty interesting in his matchup vs boxer as both players say its their hardest matchup.

With that said i think Boxer's experience from SC1 in TvZ should give him the lead

wow

Dude, it would be Boxer v.s. Fake Boxer. The battle that decides the true SC2 Boxer!
How much more epic can you get?

Or it would Rainbow v.s. Boxer. Rainbow is one of the chosen few along with Iloveoov to be hand picked by Boxer to form what eventually becomes the SKT T1 team. So it's like the battle between the founding members of SKT. Dramalama!

Just think about it!

HE sure needs to contact them in case he wins the GSL 2 lol, I wonder how will look the art work tribute to him from Blizzard if he wins and if they decide to make one.
