LOOOL hes been living in USA for at least 3-4 years and he does not train with koreans, so he would be considered a north american player imo

This way he can play his game, get paid to do it, and still focus on his studies. This all instead of having to move to Korea to properly compete. I would like to live in this Taiwan you speak of. Must be better than the one I live in which only has a Kart Rider/Korean CS proleague with shit salaries!

What are YOU smoking? It's true. Sen just played on national TV two weeks ago, he's playing in a big Taiwanese LAN event tomorrow - just because its not on TL doesn't mean it does not exist. Lul and yes, Sen is going to Dallas ~~

A few one-off events and LANs does not mean SC2 has a big enough following in Taiwan to support a real proscene.

I also said pro teams are being BUILD. With the money earned with it being on tv, etc. (same system as in Korea afaik), these teams can afford decent salaries, especially to Taiwanese standards. It being on TV says enough about the following.

I remember watching his stream using that account (NA server of course). Yeah I know what the deal is, I just wanted to share my lovely brainfart moment right there. ![]()

There are at least 3 teams in Taiwan that offered Sen big money to play for them, I've met the head of Taiwan's eSport association (they're sponsored officially by Blizzard, which is what's making this trip to GSL possible for them), SC2 is being played on national TV in Taiwan, they've had multiple large-scale LAN events throughout the country. It's really big in Taiwan, and 2011 will be bigger. The only thing is the skill level of Taiwanese players is not that good yet aside from Sen.

I found this. Needless to say Taiwan is still developing its SC2 scene in a positive direction, which is great. Lets just not even go into pro-gamer salaries though but someone like Sen is obviously a big name so he will get paid more than the others that just started out. I'll keep watching that channel/program in the future but last week they were still showing Kart Rider and Sudden Attack. That was just a special SC2 event.
