Has there been a interview with JD beforehand where he says he will play SC2 and that the only question to him was really when that was going to be? If there is no such interview then there is something new here, no?

If he really plays BW for 5 more years, when he switches to SC2 it'll be "Ja-do-who?"

There was this awesome quote from Idra when he was asked if he was worried about Nada and Boxer plaiyng SC2 and he said something to effect of "No, but if Jaedong, Flash or Stork changed that would be a different story" Well, looks like it might be a different story.

It's funny you say that considering it was huge news when players like Nada, Boxer, and JulyZerg (all players years past their primes) started playing SC2. You seriously don't think that even 5-years down the road, the greatest Zerg to ever play Brood War joining the competition wouldn't be huge news? Also, anyone who can dominate the entire Brood War scene certainly has the raw talent and skill to make major waves in the SC2 scene. SC2 may be a different game, but mechanics and multi-tasking ability do carry over as does a degree of innate game sense. If the current S-Tier Brood War players do begin to transition into SC2, it really wouldn't be surprising at all to see them start to smash the current top SC2 players within a relatively short amount of time. The level of skill between the top current Brood War players and the top current SC2 players is simply incomparable. If a B-Teamer like Idra can be one of the best SC2 Zergs in the world, what do you think will happen when people like Jaedong, Flash, and Stork start practicing and playing?
