# Operating system:Windows 2.6.0.6001 (SP 1) # CPU type:AMD Turion(tm) X2 Dual-Core Mobile RM-72 # CPU Speed (GHz):2.12 # System memory (GB):3.748 # Graphics card model:ATI Radeon 3100 Graphics # Graphics card driver:atiumdag.dll # Desktop resolution:1366x768 # Hard disk size (GB):296.625 # Hard disk free space (GB):131.841 I'm sorry if I didn't follow protocol I'll say with the list provided, but I am not to sure on how to find out my specifications. I am in fact playing Starcraft on a Laptop, I have a USB mouse and that is all, I will be doing some cleanup come beta time granted I receive a key. But do you guys think that I will be able to run the game? Low medium or high settings? It may seem rhetorical to ask because I am aware my computer is pretty bad, but between paying for school and being in the Military I don't have the money or the background knowledge to assemble a computer and addition to assembling the computer buying specific parts. Anyways, what do you guys think my chances are of playing the game on this computer are? I don't really care about graphics at this point, I just want to play the game.

But with the upcoming release of SCII some of us will be parting, and I am not sure if I will be able to even run the game. If anyone has any idea of what the specifications will be please contact me, I signed up for all 3 betas not sure if I will be able to run any of those games, but this is what they pulled for my computer. # Operating system:Windows 2.6.0.6001 (SP 1) # CPU type:AMD Turion(tm) X2 Dual-Core Mobile RM-72 # CPU Speed (GHz):2.12 # System memory (GB):3.748 # Graphics card model:ATI Radeon 3100 Graphics # Graphics card driver:atiumdag.dll # Desktop resolution:1366x768 # Hard disk size (GB):296.625 # Hard disk free space (GB):131.841 I'm sorry if I didn't follow protocol I'll say with the list provided, but I am not to sure on how to find out my specifications. Are you reserve? If you're active duty you are aware of TA right? Also, since you are in the Military, especially when deployed you should always have plenty of money saved up. Thats one reason I want to eventually do PATFORSWA. If you are able to play it, it will be on the lowest of graphics. 2.12 GHZ is slow, and your graphics card is severely outdated. You can buy a new computer for 700-900 that can run SCII on medium to high graphics no problem. It all depends what you priorities are. Rent > Computer. (Also, since you are in the military you know having financial troubles puts your security clearance in risk of being revoked. There are also programs that give you interest free loans if you are having financial troubles. Just a little fyi) If you need to know about any such programs just PM me and your branch.

I just know about mac products and stuff like that haha. but I built my own computer which will (soon) be runnin windows 7, and all this good stuff. So i'm versatile.

I put my comp together a few days ago, getting absurdly high temperature >< I shudder at the thought of needing to reinstall the heatsink and cpu fan. Well, keep in mind the I7 is built to handle higher temperatures. Its not like the processors of last generation. With that in mind, anything below 80c on any of the cores running at 100% load will be fine. Im clocked at 4.0 with hyperthreading on, 1.29 vcore, and a T.R.U.E., cores idle around 44, 100% load reaches 82 max. With the stock HSF, at 2.66 ghz, 1.18 vcore, i was idling at 54, never tested full load, and I wouldn't want to =/ If you want to keep your temps lower, try disabling hyper threading in your bios, it should cut your temps by alot.
