maybe it's a bit early to say this but i just have to... i duno if it's the magic defense or if lebron's teammates are just playing like crap or both, but the more games i watch in the cavs-magic series the more it makes me think that lebron doesn't have the supporting cast i thought he did.
mo's a good player but he just seems to be lacking that 2nd stringer quality right now. seriously, can anyone other than lebron score on this cavs team with any consistency?? yeah we all know what mo can do, but he's shooting himself in the foot and the cavs are suffering as a result of that. if he (or anyone else for that matter) can't pick up the slack ASAP then it's gonna be better luck next season for the cavs.
d. howard likes to throw elbows yes??

I was thinking the same thing, are the cavs front court a bit undersized?
|
Orlando's defense is doing great but even still the Cavs are missing a lot of easy shots and open looks with surprising consistency. Mo is by no means a bad shooter and he's had some easy looks this series. But just looking at his numbers this series is disappointing. Just a lot of easy buckets that they should have hit and wasted opportunities. So it's not just Orlando's defense. I don't think much of Lebrons supporting cast but most of the team should be hitting shots at a better rate than what they are. The cavs haven't won a single 3rd or 4th quarter yet.
I'm sure the entire cavs team has apologized to Lebron by now after this series lol. He's had a couple things to apologize for too, but without him I don't know where this group would be.

Next game decides Cavs vs Magic imo.

Clevland is just getting fucked over, which I really love especially considering how cocky they were after the first 2 rounds. jumping around and goofing off during games and acting like they were already going to the finals. fuck them~

Come on my nuggaz!! Do the upset!!!!

not going to happen mr. ( )

Cav vs Lakers final! gogogo! Refs make it happen!

Was reading an ESPN article on Kobe vs. Lebron and this part made me lol
Twenty-four seconds to play, down by two. Who gets the ball? Derek Fisher. Sorry, I was channeling Phil Jackson from a couple of games ago. I'll go with Kobe, because his career résumé includes far more last-second daggers than LBJ's. (Sheridan)
I'd like to think Kobe > Lebron but idk. It is hard to tell when Kobe is holding back to get his teammates involved indirectly. And I think Kobe's athletic/power moves in the WCF are showing his fatigue.
It is a great time for a comparison since IMO both of them are in series where if either of them has extremely great performances they can probably get their team to the finals. So I'll say whoever wins the finals MVP between them is better -_-

I think I'd take Lebron for the first 3 quarters of the game and I'd take Kobe in the 4th quarter. Kobe's got a better skillset and is the smarter player who can hit those free throws in the 4th. But Lebron is a pretty dominant force on the court for most of the game. I wonder what would happen if it was Kobe with the Cavs and Lebron with the Lakers.

I was talking with my friend about this and we basically concluded this:
LeBron = better at getting his teammates involved Kobe = better player individually
Honestly I think the Lakers would be a much better team if LeBron was here instead of Kobe. Kobe could take Clevland to 50 wins and maybe the Eastern Conference Finals (since he'd be scoring like 50/game)... but the Lakers would win every title for the next 10 years because of the Lakers supporting cast being much better.
So basically, Lakers "other" players > Cavs "other" players. LeBron raises the level of those around him more than Kobe does... so him+Lakers would >>> Kobe+Cavs... but as basketball players individually, Kobe is better.
|
I wouldn't say "better" I would say he is the smarter player and during the game he is the more skilled. However, because LeBron ,being a physical freak of nature, and can pretty much take the ball to the hole and basically get any call he wants (ORL knows what I'm talking about) it makes him more valuable to his team. Right now LeBron is playing the better basketball, which hurts me because I hate the Cavs so much.

Even though they are ahead, Denver's gonna lose if Melo keeps shooting like this. Goddamn his shot looked so smooth in game 1 and throughout the most of the playoffs. Where'd it go ;O!
|
Kenyon Martin has horrible free throw mechanics. All wrist, no arm extension.
|
What the hell, he almost loses the ball, recovers, falls down. Without any ball pressure.

damn kobe sick layup at the buzzer
