They didn't play bad specifically in this game, this has been Real Madrid this season and when you play against a stronger team than most of La Liga's teams, this is the end result.

Besides Bayern, Barcelona is probably the only other team that has a shot and even then I could see them not advancing as well.

barcelona can beat any english team, they're favourites vs chelsea and arsenal. liverpool remains incredible in CL and united seems like the strongest team in the world at the moment. but even they can end up getting knocked out tomorrow, inter is also extremely good.. bayern should by no means be a) ruled out because of their domestic performance or b) hailed as a serious contender because they just embarassed sporting.. CL is a different game from league, time after time you see some teams perform better in CL and worse in the league, or vice versa.. bayern has the experience to do well in CL, but they're prolly too weak defensively to be anything beyond a dark horse.

This was all a few minutes before their first goal. well i personally am not impressed by chances from corners but... thing is just that you look at score if liverpool dominated but real scored 2 goals first half everyone would be like wow they are so efficient relying on defence and giving liverpool some space and possibilities to pass etc not getting any goals against and then owning them on the counter... coulda happened its what dynamo kiev has done countless of times (one would almost think its not luck but i still think it was... well luck and some great strikers lets not forget that)... anyway i think liverpool played quite nicely but still real didnt play that great and now because it is a world class team people do associate it with liverpool owning a world class team (that was playing world class as wlel or sth)... well liverpool was physically very strong today good technique too but all in all im not that super impressed and i dont see em winning the CL with their squad >.< altho any squad would need luck winning it all i guess

No "A" level team should ever lose that badly and credit should still be given to Bayern whether they are doing shitty in the bundesliga or not. Exactly, like Man U v Roma 2 years ago.
