Try to appreciate it. I believe his support for McCain is gravely misplaced, but still I give him some respect.

/respect Savio I hope that somewhere between your firefox tabs of McCain support videos and pages you realize you have been placing your support on the party that will do way less overall good for your country. Edit: doesnt it bother you at all that the party supporting McCain is absolutely desperate and trying every durty trick they can to win ? or are you as desperate as them not to see democrats/obama in the white house? Not that the democrats wont do durty things, only that the ratio is like 6 to 1 for republicans Im gonna take a break from this discussion, its too frustranting on your common sense.

Also, here is the source for the origin of that image: Source: Rates from Joint Committee on Taxation publication #JCX-6-01; Receipts from FY 2009 Historical Tables, Budget of the United States Government, Table 2.3. + http://www.heritage.org/research/features/budgetchartbook/images/fed-rev-spend-2008-boc-T1-Income-Tax-Receipts-Stay-Constant.gif Now I'm not an expert by any means, but isn't this only important if there is a significant correlation between income and GDP besides the fact that they both usually increase? If one increases faster than the other, doesn't that have a much larger effect on this graph? Also, isn't it a bit deceptive to show the two lines on the same graph, as the Y-axis for one is % of Income, and the Y-axis for the other is % of GDP (for which a small % increase can mean a very large $ increase for government programs and initiatives). For that reason, wouldn't it be better to look at the second line on a graph like this one: ![]() Coincidentally, take a look at this version of the same graph over the timespan of 1992 (beginning of Clinton years) to 2000 (end of Clinton / beginning of Bush) to now and see if you can spot when Tax Receipts as a percentage of GDP were increasing and when they were decreasing. But like I said, I admit I'm not an expert on this type of thing so I expect my thinking is probably way off.

The trick is you demand for specifics for something, tape it live so they can't take time to think and don't allow them any preparation. And when they can't..does that mean they are uninformed or that it doesn't exist? I think that in reality its just the way being interviewed is. If you want to embarrass someone or try to make a political statement, demand specifics and allow no preparation. Journalistic political tricks don't mean much whether they are against democrats or republicans. whats worse? random people get hired to talk stupid on their show or palin not knowing what her running mate does when you run for vice president, you should at least know what your running mate actually stands for

Couric was pretty harsh too, but it's no surpise that republicans are incredibly nervous about her debate with Biden and are hoping to delay it. Holy shit I can't wait for the VP debate. I'm looking more forward to it than any other debate =] It'll be like a combination of Michael Bay and Ricky Gervais. Buildings will crumble, the sky will turn black - but all the while things will feel very awkward.
