Haha, I almost watched four black girls fight a spanish girl driving a truck about 30 minutes ago out front of work. That's a pretty damn spot on assesment of what I saw.

Spreading fear of terrorism is an *excellent* way of making people want more security. And more security means of course more surveillance, less freedom for everyone, more control for those in power.

You have to see the problem in your logic. He likened one aspect of a group of people directly to chimps. What he he said is EXACTLY comparing black people to chimps. Its very simple.
I get the impression that some people might not understand why this is racist. Simply, comparing black people to monkeys has, historically, been used as a racist, derogatory and offensive stereotype against black people.
It IS racist, no one can argue against that and be right.

Hmm, while I wouldn't be particularly surprised if we did have a high amount, the sample size was only 1,000. Kinda small, considering the size of our country. It did say they were randomly selected though, but still.
But these would probably remain pretty true regardless of size:
• People who live in the South were more likely than residents of all other regions to embrace the truth of all six stories.
• Those who portrayed themselves as mostly conservative on political matters were substantially more likely than those who called themselves mostly liberal to consider each of the six stories to be literally true. The average difference between the two segments was 26 percentage points.
I'm pretty sure it varies a lot depending where you are. Jersey is pretty liberal, and we don't exactly have a real high rate of church goers and certainly not many born-agains or anything. The south would be different.

I don't think the guy should be banned, and I don't think people should be starting off topic arguments about it, but it was over the line. IMO correct procedure for ClouD.Break would have been to inform an admin/mod that he was offended, and let them handle it (probably by censoring the offensive parts of the post, and giving the guy a slap on the wrist).
But yes, different cultures have different sensitivities, and while you may not like loud people, it could be interpreted as very friendly and spirited to others.
