The other 19% are able to take in knowledge but have no logic whatsoever so they can barely use it. The other .5% of people here take in knowledge and have logic, but are so corrupt by shitty morals, bad parenting, and drugs that they don't really do anything for the good of the country/world Finally the last .5% are smart. | ||

my home province, new brunswick, is canada's only officially bi-lingual province, but again, that only means that it officially has a giant cultural geographical divide based on which language you speak. moncton is literally cut in two because of this. i hate it and i wish we could all speak both languages, or at least get along. then there's the native situation, which has been handled so poorly by everyone involved, for so long, that i have no idea how things could improve. white canadians look down upon aboriginal canadians, and aboriginal canadians live in reserves together and suffer low employment rates, alcoholism, drug abuse, and suicide. the natives get a lot of government supported incentives to pursue higher education, but it never has seemed to work very well. if there are any native canadians on TL i'm sorry if i'm portraying this poorly, and i'm not by any means justifying the way you're treated. our government as of late has been fucking ridiculous. it's essentially a two-party system, with a few other parties available to form minority governments and bitch at the two big ones in parliament. the liberals get voted in, rob us blind for a few years, and then get voted out. the conservatives come in, run the country in a manner that nobody wants, and get kicked out in favor of the liberals again. and so it goes on. | ||

Way too many people act like they're enlightened, but in fact they harbor ridiculously close-minded ideas that only come out when they think they're among like-minded people. My boss started talking about politics the other day, and was spouting off the whole Obama / Osama thing, and I was seriously disgusted. The sad thing is that it's very, very common. That's just an example, by the way. A ton of people base their lives on what they see on TV. The shallowness and petty-mindedness that I have to deal with on a regular basis sickens me. Acting like the guys on Jackass, or parroting the way that nasty alien-looking Tila Tequila acts, just makes you look stupid. Their show is popular because they're trainwrecks, because they're a sideshow... Why would you want to base you life on copying someone who's know for being an idiot? Comformity is encouraged, especially in the workplace. The culture that says Obesity is a disease, and that the fatasses can't help themselves. Everywhere I go, some fat cow is riding around on a motorized cart, being helped out of the store by some unlucky employee. They're fucking slobs, and they're catered to. If we didn't support these fatasses so much, they'd be forced to lose some weight just so that they could walk around the grocery store enough to buy the massive quantities of food it takes to feed them. The people that still claim that America was founded by religious zealots, and so religion should still be included in our government and school systems. As an aside to that... Christians that claim to be persecuted. The War on Christmas is the biggest farce I've ever seen, and yet it's believed to be true because of the idiot talking heads on television. The subculture of "gangsta" dumbasses. It's not cool to be an uneducated, mouth-breathing moron with 8 kids that you don't support, you fucking retards. It's also not cool to dress in clothes that look like shit that cost hundreds of dollars, and carry around that debt on a credit card that you default on. I hope you accidentally shoot yourself in the balls with your "gat" when you're running down the street, holding up your pants with one hand. BTW, this isn't racially motivated, as I hate all "gangsta" idiots equally. In fact, the suburb versions of these morons are worse, as they don't have any economic reason to be that way. The fact that people allow themselves to be scared into supporting things like the "Patriot Act". That has to be the most ironic name for something I've ever seen, as it goes against everything this country was founded on. Terrorism is a fucking boogy man that the government uses to frighten people into supporting pork projects and bloated government, and it works because people are too stupid to realize that they're more likely to die or be harmed by a natural event than some terrorist. Hell, they're more likely to be killed by a home-grown, christian zealot than a middle-eastern one. The fact that people complain about gas prices, all the while driving their Suburban / Expedition to work... By themselves. Buy a sensible car and gas prices wouldn't affect you 1/10th as much you idiots. I hate how our government bails out corporations because if they fall it will hurt the economy, and then turn around and claim that the "invisible hand of the market" always fixes things. It can't fucking fix anything if you bail out the companies that fail, you goddamn idiots! They failed for a reason, and all you're doing by propping them up is hamstringing the capitalistic checks and balances that our economy is based on. The reason we're in a recession is because there's no penalty for failure for the huge conglomerate corporations, so they make bad loans and only shoot for quarterly gains. I could go on... But I won't. | ||
