Maybe it's not appropriate to talk about this. I'm not sure how strict the mods are, if anything I say is offensive or inappropriate, I won't do it again.
Anyways, I've been away from playing BW for many years probably since the boxer era. Map hacks existed then, but my god.. the hacks now is just ridiculous! I'm not talking about zerg mineral hacks/nuke hack or whatever either. The original poster in the anti-hacking map posted a link to the hack site(I'm sure it's not hard to find if you are really looking for it). So I was interested what kind of hacks are out, ya know just to be informed about them.
Basically my eyes are completely opened after seeing the list of "features" in one of the hacks. Some are actually pretty damn good features for legit players, such as having /r for replies on bnet and latency checker(to see the ping between you and other players in the game, though the hack was a little extreme; it shows ip addresses/etc..). Anyways there are many more that I could mention that I felt would be awesome features implemented in like advloader or chaos.
But there are some that are completely subtle, but are blatant hacking. Of course I'm a noob so everyone and their grandmother could already knew all this, but there are auto-mining hacks(auto splitting and building a peon at the start of the game, and continue to do so as you build more peons), max selection hacks(unlimited selections of units/buildings) and much more. And I admit I had to try to functionality of them, so I started an offline game against a comp and tried the hack inside and out. Wow, I was really impressed how well programmed the hack was. I don't know if it works undetected(I'm 99% sure it is) but damn it gives a HUGE advantage to anybody who uses them. In minutes, you can turn your sloppy game into almost pro level by some of these "features". And the scariest part of it all is.. it's REALLY REALLY tempting to even a legit old school player like myself who has no intention of ever hacking to just turn to the dark side. It just works THAT well, it felt like playing sc2; unlimited selection, find idle peons, hotkeying buildings to simultaneously build/rally multiple units.
Anyways, I just somehow had the urge to make a public announcement for those who are still unaware. Actually I played a game against someone who I thought was legit but turns out he was using this same hack. Funny thing was that he really tried to hide his hacking, but the multiple selection/building hack is just too obvious. I'm glad I got to try it out so I know how it works and knows what's out there. It's just scary that away from iccup server or wherever, you don't know who downloaded their skills and who is actually gosu. The bright side is that it's pretty easy to spot within the rep in bwchart.
Excuse my rant for those who actually read through this. Go go first post(i think?)!

I love playing on bnet against Zerg mineral hackers, especially when they try to hide it. They kill me with thier 200/200 zerglings in like 3 minutes, then declare they aren't hacking. I usually respond by mentioning the fact that they have 20 hatcheries in their main. But they have the brilliant response of "I'm just gosu." Uhh, sorry to say hackers, but you're not.
random hacker story: I was playing a 2v2 with one of my friends on US East. We got put up against some Zerg hacker and a noob. The hacker was teching to mutas, and we killed the noob without any real effort. Lucky for us, this guy was actually bad at hacking (if that makes sense). I went 2 stargate corsairs, and his mutas died because he was just such a horrible player. Then we just contained him in his main with zealots/archon/sair. Poor dude, I guess there isnt a gas hack. Eventually we got enough and killed him. It was pretty cool i guess.

Yeah some features are really cool and would be nice in chaos. Its a shame there are like 50 hardcore coders making maphacks etc and only like 4 or 5 guys making things for the non hacker crowd.
[e] Thanks to whichever mod edited out the link in my post. Didnt realise it was in there.

the only thing that seems nice about oblivion is that it can drop the lag screen against lag/pause hackers. That shits so annoying

If they keep killing those larvae, they can't make any units.
If you ever see a player with 80 apm but never for one second, had any idle workers, it's an indication that he might hack. Check the multiple gateways/barracks to see if the units and timing in queue are the exact same. Since you can't select multiple buildings even if you do 1d2d3d4d5d6d with godlike speed, it's impossible for them to come out at the exact same time.
