It had no relation to me at all, so I didn't and don't care. People dying doesn't impress me. I'm that kind of person I guess. All this memorial stuff irritates me. What exactly are we trying to do here again? Think of it that I can't understand it and I am curious.

It was in English class, and my teacher gets a call. She literally turned paper-white and was on the verge of crying. When she got off the phone she said, "The World Trade Center is burning." Her husband was in the building, thank goodness he got out. God I'm getting so depressed just thinking about the sheer number of people who perished on this day six years ago.

That was my second (third?) year in the United States. I lived in California. As my teacher, Mr. Foley, turned on the TV, I had no idea what was going on and how that was relevant to what we were learning today. However as I grew up and understood what 9/11 really meant, I only blame my ignorance as a child that day. And today I only wish I was there on that tragic day, to experience first hand on how the people really felt like in one of the more tragic stories of our time.

I was a sophomore at Rutgers, and had an 9:50 class that morning. I got a phone call around 8 for me to get up and turn on my TV from a friend who sounded urgent and so I did. It was like a movie. A close friend died that day - he was working on the floor that was hit in the first building. He was only 26. Classes were canceled for two days, many lined up to give blood and local food shops donated food and water for the students to bring into the city. I recall a few friends with cars driving up into NY once the roads were open again to help bring those who were stuck there back home in NJ. I also remember the jerks who actually CHARGED people when driving them back. =/ When I drove home to North Jersey taking the turnpike, all I saw was a looming grey cloud over NY - and the same thing from my parents' high rise apartment. We lived on the 8th floor and from the balcony I was able to see the NY skyline.. that was just.. grey.

This video sends chills down my spine, I think you've probably already seen it but it's worth showing again. The guy is so panicked but tries to maintain control over the situation.. fucking crying shame, a horrible way to die.

This horrible tragedy didn`t happen in my country but as human I feel sorry for all those people who died on 9/11, especially firefighters. Today I watched Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 (never saw it before) and all that can be said after that is Bush

The video looks looped for the first part...is that just to try to give a picture to the conversation? God, so many people died when it wasn't their time. It is so terribley saddening... What really makes my stomach wrench is the videos when you can see the people jumping. Burn alive or have a few seconds to pray before you hit the ground? It is so terrible what happened that day.
