I've seen all sorts of crazy posts on TL asking for opinion, so I thought might as well:
I do a side-job with extremely flexible hours few times a week, and because it's LA there's a lot of dreamers (actor, film maker, musician, yada yada) that pass through the company who've only just recently fallen off of the turnip truck.
So this new guy showed up one day, we chatted, joked, traded stories, discussed the state of the world, etc. It was cool, he seemed like a decent guy. The job went down without a hitch.
On the next job (a long job) it was pretty much business as usual until nearing the end time. The guy goes berserk for some ity bity thing which escalated into a shouting match. The whole time I'm thinking in my mind "wtf this guy can't be serious, can he?" During that time he blurted out a racist "I'm white!!" line. I was like "WTF does that MEAN?!?!" We got broken up after that cus the job wasn't quite finished yet.
I knew in my mind that I wasn't gonna back down from that bullshit earlier, but I wasn't about to make a scene on the job either. So I waited till after the job, thinking I'll let 'em be and talk to the company about him. So I walked away. The guy caught up to me to say that he's ready to fuck each other up. Fucker just would not let it go.
Now that night I was quite calm cus his sudden outburst was a complete shock to me, we were chill earlier. Now that I've had time to reflect on everything that happened, I'm ready to step up. I do boxing so it's not like I'm shy about it. The important thing is I feel that it's something I gotta do to teach him a lesson.

First off id say let it go,however you see him walking around and HE starts something id completely smash the cock suckers face in just me.Im all for letting someone else make the moves and clitche as it sound to finish whats been started just the way i was raised thought it takes alot more to set me off nowadays i think having kids and not drinking have made me a calmer person.Just what i would do. Now before my daughter completley diffrent story id have been fired that day frio breaking something or more than something on some fool ass mother.

Don't bother fighting him unless he assaults you somehow, or trys to, then you can let loose and bust his ass.
If everyone were to fight over someone else yelling/shouting at them, this world would be a tad bit more fucked up than it already is, especially at lan events, those fuckers like to talk shit when you're playing them, but it's all in fun.
