Gecko is right. The style of communication. There is a lot of trolling involved, which is truly in use from the bottom to the top of society.
At least, it is solely a personal investment to the tournament, not an official organization or anything like that with obligations to match any of the existing social standards despite how strange it may sound. Very different initial communuty backgrounds and such "warning" threads are not going to make them closer at all. (Btw, who has the rights to warn? The thread title is disrespectful at first to anyone if we're following some higher level of community.)
Just don't take the situation so seriously. It's game, it's fun (even if money is involved). It's just not fun when additional time resources are consumed on nonesense. Just forget and play bw!
I am not supporting Rus_Brain here, I don't even like him. But as Russian I kinda feel for him. The attitude and the reasoning of these iRk guys looks immature and even girlish to me. I guess that's due to cultural differences. The way Agge handled that simple request from Rus_brain... I would get annoyed too, honestly.
In sweden it's illegal to share personal information about without their knowledge and approval so I hope you understand if I cant do that
Really? This doesn't mean he can't do that. That means that he should ask Favorit's permission first. Or just make him to contact Rus_brain directly. It doesn't look like there is nothing to do at all. More like Agge is unwilling to do anything. Then he can't even provide his discord ID
Discord id: Favorit I can't see his number for some reason.. can't see yours either
The guy couldn't be more careless. Rus_brain is a busy man who does many things for the community Agge's the part of. I think Agge could've shown at least some respect for that... It's like - Hey buddy could you pass me a glass of water? - Absolutely impossible, I would have to stand up and make 6 steps towards a cooler. I hope you understand. I think at some point Rus_brain got triggered and wanted to make Agge start to care, that's why he said he would ban his team and stop supporting Dewalt. To be honest, I understand the ban of this team, because it doesn't seem to be pleasant to deal with a manager like Agge. Btw, did Rus_brain really stop supporting Dewalt? Because it's not his fault at all, would be a shame. I also did not like these "You are blackmailing us", "You are a bully!". These are not appropriate words at all. By this logic, when they told him to apologize or they would tell everyone, that was blackmailing and bullying too, right? I don't understand the whole situation very well, so I can't make any final conclusions. Just wanted to share how it looks from my perspective.

Why would you have to call it "homophobia"? He was trolling, obviously, but did he say anything negative about gay people? Anything, dude. He said Incomplete's a gentle soul, but is it bad/negative? If I presume that gay people are usually more sensitive/touchy than straight - it's homophobic? What if I presume that artists are more sensitive than regular people - would I be... dunno... artphobic? Why did he ask that question after all? I dunno if it's homophobic or not, but I would've probably picked words more carefully if I knew that I was talking to a gay person. Since I think gay people may be more sensitive. I mean, there is a chance of that, right? It's really a cultural difference, because you know better what's homophobic and what is not, for Russians it may be a bit complicated.
imagine you are dewalt. you trust this person and go korea to practice with his support. one day this person calls and says: hello, sorry but i'll take everything back from you because i'm pissed at someone else, even you have no part in this, i'll harm you to give a message to others. not cool. he reminds me of corrupted third world country politicians.
Why didn't you just get them in the same Discord chat ffs? All of this could not happen at first place.
I don't clearly understand what is Favorit's problem if he just gets a walk over? Is it for prize money or something?
tried contacting Favorit instead. Favorit responded rather poorly.
What does it mean>?
Asking for someone's name isn't such a fatal thing - it's not his personal ID, phone number, not even an email address.
If you want to be fully compliant with GDPR - do you have Data Protection Officer at first place? /s
If you are afraid of sharing a teammate's name, or because of his refusal - why is he at all in someones roster or why are you trying to defend him? It is his problem - we are all grown men here.
And lastly - sorry but i have no pity for ex hackers. Of course, rus_brain's response is not acceptable but it's a two way communication in the end. If I'm in the shoes of the organizer I'd ban anyone with any hacking history and would not bother myself with such issues.
All of this is ridiculous and wrong at so many levels.

Don't pursue this bias, please.
Contrary to my relations with Agge, our obligations with Dewalt are well reconciled, and there is no outstanding debt. As well as others. Should I be that "power-abusing" person as referred by Incomplete, I might have demanded Dewalt to leave iRk, which would leave him no other option but "to be my bitch" as referred by G5.
In my world, a team leader should take responsibility for accepting "a famed ex-hacker" as referred by GeckoXp, and the name disclosure would have revealed that. I consider Agge knew about that and tried to cover under GDPR act which I admit he hardly read.
Yet, pursuing the debates add no value to TL or the community, for this reason, I do beg Agge's pardon, albeit I don't expect likewise.
This is a diffrence in attitudes towards the tournament (One side sees it as a business, the other as a game) which is further compounded by differences in attitude/culture. It cannot be surprising that someone who invests heavily into the community would take offence to having his tournament insulted.
The reaction is over-the-top, and the issue of funding of players in Korea is quite serious. Contextually it doesn't seem to me like Rus_Brain was directly threatening to do that though. I feel like there's been far too much miscommunication here, almost to the point of negligence, to warrant it being publicized as a last ditch effort.
Getting a translator to smooth over communication probably should have been done very early on.
Consent at a glance - The GDPR sets a high standard for consent. But you often won’t need consent. If consent is difficult, look for a different lawful basis. - Consent means offering individuals real choice and control. Genuine consent should put individuals in charge, build trust and engagement, and enhance your reputation. - Check your consent practices and your existing consents. Refresh your consents if they don’t meet the GDPR standard. - Consent requires a positive opt-in. Don’t use pre-ticked boxes or any other method of default consent. - Explicit consent requires a very clear and specific statement of consent. - Keep your consent requests separate from other terms and conditions. - Be specific and ‘granular’ so that you get separate consent for separate things. Vague or blanket consent is not enough. - Be clear and concise. - Name any third party controllers who will rely on the consent. - Make it easy for people to withdraw consent and tell them how. - Keep evidence of consent – who, when, how, and what you told people. - Keep consent under review, and refresh it if anything changes. - Avoid making consent to processing a precondition of a service. - Public authorities and employers will need to take extra care to show that consent is freely given, and should avoid over-reliance on consent.
Just for sharing a name of a player who's been playing this game 10+ years?

Your passport is now burned to ashes according to non-disclosure clause of the contract.

I can confirm this. Eonzerg spotted with shoe company at 1:32 minute mark.
I'm not sure anymore meaningful discussion will come from this thread, hopefully both parties will be able to resolve their differences in an amiable fashion.
