Meant live, but maybe i wasn't fair enough for some of the harder dungeons. Some of the people clearing 13-15 tyrannical got the same few dungeons multiple times rather than getting 6 different ones

Got pretty lucky with drops and have great item level now. But I feel like it helps me only very little in mythic+ and you can not carry as a healer. Sure I can heal up some mistakes, but if people play like ass there is simply nothing you can do.
And imo people in pugs now play even more careless than before. There are now really bad (or lazy) players that just expect to get carried because they bring a key. Or even if they dont bring a key, because you can not kick anyone once the run has started. Even had people go afk continuously twice now. And of course the usual lack of stun/interrupt etc.

Life as a healer in pugs is hard, its kinda like being a geriatric nurse that has to try and wipe all the shit stains they leave.

Yeah, healing can make you feel pretty powerless. There are few pugs that get to that next level of efficiency, where each DPS is good and kind of multiplying each other's effectiveness. Even when I DPS as WW and bring massive damage, sometimes I do my full combo on a pack and they're still at 20% or something and then my damage drops way off while I wait for cooldowns. But when I'm with other good DPS, things die by the end of my combo and we're running to the next pack while abilities are on cooldown. Having to use fists of fury twice on the same low health pack really hurts. Or coming at efficiency from another angle, you get a group that knows how to combine pulls into mega pulls and then stack all the mobs properly and chain CC. When you go from that to a pug with DPS doing bad numbers and a healer doing no CC and no damage, it saps the fun out of the game. I've seen healers end mythic+ runs with literally zero damage done for the whole run. And I've seen tanks who think they're pro doing these mega pulls and chain pulls, but they put no effort into getting the mobs stacked, so it actually ends up being much slower than just doing standard pulls. I hate having my combo ready to go and the tank has got a million mobs spread out all over the place, so I wait and wait and I could have done my combo twice by the time he gets things reasonably stacked.

Oh and if you ask a tank before the run "do you know the pulls and the skips" they always say yes, because they don't know what they don't know. Inevitably there's a pull they mess up or a skip they don't do and how would they have known beforehand that they didn't know the better way.

Eh that sounds more like a bunch of luxury problems to me.
I am not even talking efficiency but just basic issues preventing you from getting through at all or ideally 2 chests. Like players going afk, accidentally body pulling additional mob groups, standing in shit, not caring about boss (or trash) mechanics at all.

What you're describing isn't a healer problem, it's a pug problem. Whenever you pug you are always 1 in 5 players, and you can't control what the other 80% do. I consider myself an above average tank (at least for the level I play at), but there's only so much you can do when people bodypull packs or die to the first Bellow on Helya. The same is true regardless of what role you play. If anything, as a solo healer or tank you have the most power relatively.

Unfortunately that also seems to involve getting the most responsibility and stress. All the affixes I've had so far (and I haven't had Volcanic or Skittish yet) seem to stress the tanks and healers far more than the dps. Even if it's stuff like Bolstering, something designed to change the playstyle of, or challenge the, DPS, if they fuck up it all comes down to the tank and healer in the end.

And to be honest, isn't that why we rolled tanks and healers in the first place? I would prefer to be only held accountable for my mistakes and not those of dps or healers, but we chose the more responsible roles for a reason right?

I think the best thing is to be in a large guild of skilled players that you can rely on and to develop your friends list and put together groups with whoever is available. Id be down.. I played reasonably high level world 30-100 clears all raid tiers from Vanilla MC to Al'Akir in Cata. Even a world 6 on Brutallus cuz we were on the same server as Last Resort and they kinda told us what to do and it was pretty much a gear check, it didnt matter because of the gates anyway. + Show Spoiler +
Thing is I played EU and then I started working in NAand I didnt have the heart to reroll after 6 years and 8 toons (for proffs and alt runs/ raid comps mostly) + I dont know anyone NA.


I rolled a Horde mage a couple of weeks back that I can fac change, and I got alot to do but I wouldnt mind having some people to play with for mythics or even raids. Heroics seem pretty easy tbh and im walking in with greens so its kinda boring.

I found Bolstering to be fine, you just have to watch out for pulling extra packs and beware of pulling small(non-elite) units together with others.

I mean, its manageable, but in comparaison to Raging whioch had almost no impact, this one can be very annoying for big packs, especially if you don't bring constant aoe damage dealers

In my experience its the other way around, Raging destroyed some of our mythic+ but Bolstering is relatively easy to deal with. For example the mob in CoS or the mobs in BHR really fucked us with their aoe if we had no stun/silence capeabilities when they were low. Not to mention that frigging Fel enforcer.

then again my group is like an Enh shaman a frost dk and an unholy dk rofl.

mythic2-3 +3 nerfed to 2.4x less AP

4-6 +2 give the same AP

7-9 +1 gives 2.5x more AP than before

I wonder how much gold they give now. Not very surprised to see this, spamming lvl 2-3 with as many chests as possible was not all that hard but it was the fastest way to get AP and legendaries at the same time and it was seeing some extremely high traffic on the group finder.

The chosen "fix" to this behavior does penalize those playing in a 5-man premade group and using their own keystones as they'll get twice as much AP if they wait to upgrade their stones 1 level at a time instead of 2 and that's not the only time that you may want to sit in front of the last boss and wait out the timer. I'm a little concerned about keystones being overly complex without a good reason for it
