I have been watching destiny's stream for just over an hour and his behavior is absolutely disgusting. It's a popular channel and i'm fine with mature language but he really is overstepping the mark for a popularized e-character.
His rants against players includes racial abuse towards koreans (calling all koreans dogs) telling the girl who he is playing with (kaylin) to "Kill herself' over 15 times and just plenty of other disgusting and shameful abuse.
Telling someone to kill themselves online is actually a crime in my country now (New zealand) as people such as him dont realize it can actually have real life devastating consequences, not only the person who he tells but people who maybe listening to his stream in an unstable state of mine, regardless if the person he told isnt suicidal, i feel this is extremely inappropriate because you dont really know what someone thinks about themselves and may plan to do.
Doesnt anyone else feel he needs to be called out by the community? or is this deemed acceptable for a some what public figure?

Destiny is a well-known asshole, it's kind of his thing. It's not for everybody, but he's harmless. Apparently, a lot of people find it funny.

yeah he's pretty much a complete dick but he doesn't care what people think of him and the best anyone who disagrees with his content can do is ignore him.
it's kinda funny to me too, since i've seen him post and seen him speak about not alienating people and showing respect to people in the past, but he constantly lets his anger get the best of him on stream. i don't think he really means anything he says but that doesn't mean he should say any of it.

I've been watching his stream tonight, and I think it's perfectly fine. It's my choice to tune in, and it's obviously just his personality and he shouldn't be taken so seriously in these regards. He's obviously joking around or speaking hyperbole... It's a large part of why people tune in. You can watch who you want you know.

This is exactly why starcraft 2 has failed. Balance aside people crying over everything has completely destroyed starcraft in wol-hots. Some examples being orb, idra, ruff, etc. One bad comment and people cry to the community or sponsors. LOTV actually looks promising, stop being so sensitive. If you do not like destiny do not watch him. Unless he waits for you to log on everyday and tell you to kill yourself just ignore him. He knows he is less skilled and more entertaining so he caters to his strengths. Financially he would have to be an idiot to not "cross the line."

So basically your saying, i can abuse people then claim 'its my personality just be fine with it' Come on please. There is no logic in what you say. Or is it ok if i say anything under the sun then put a smiley face after it and its just 'jokin dnt b so srs;
I always thought teamliquid and starcraft upheld a higher standard then the dribble you get in most online community's, maybe times have changed.

You know what, he might be harmless but the things he says and the way he acts isn't harmless, not as a streamer. Streamers can and do become role models and representations of a community. I'm curious about what it says about people who watch him more, especially considering he's the top stream. So OP, I tend to agree, even if this isn't the best use for the LOTV forum space

yeah i seemed to have not noticed it was the 2nd already.
You are watching destiny on his stream. If you are going to his stream you should expect him to say whatever he wants as long as it is fine with twitch.

Stuff like this is why popular streamers end up watering down their personalities and/or leaving SC2 for other games where the communities aren't so uptight.
If you don't like it, don't watch it. If it is really inappropriate and everyone follows that rule then the streamers will have to change their behavior. Stop trying to rally people into witch hunts; it's only harmful.
Now that you know that the content on Destiny's stream is too "disgusting" for your personal tastes, you can safely avoid it and will never have to be exposed again. You may also want to use twitch.tv instead of TL; it will give warnings about mature content so you can navigate streams more safely in the future.

Tune to another stream if you don't like the content.

The thing is, she's still playing 2v2 Archon-mode with him.. so.. either plain old shit-post or a veiled advert for Destiny.

It's not our job to police what he says on his stream, other than whether he's featured on TL
